Although Hrithik Roshan is the best actor of the past 25 years some of his superb movies have not always got the box office glory that they deserved like; Lakshaya, Agneepath, Bang Bang, Kaabil, Guzaarish, Super 30, Vikram Vedha they all deserved to be bigger hits!

Despite being superb movies they didn’t earn as much. I believe Super 30 was probably the biggest hit from a percentage perspective.

But she is am amazing journalist and Hrithik and her hv worked since his debut and they have a good relationship Plus both are literally just doing their jobs, one is a journalist the other is a actor promoting his movie

People who understood the interview know what an evolved person he is.. sometimes I feel he doesn't get his due bcz of his looks.. Find it a bit odd that Anupama gave Fighter a negative review and Pathan a positive review. I mean I know SRK is her favourite but Pathan was literally like a poor man's War and Hrithik is much better in this genre.
He is the quiet one, concentratibg on his work - his only competition is with himself - no ego - such a nice, deep, lovable human being . He IS a superstar - but all he wants is to be an actor and not go so crazy about this whole thing. What a difference when you hear SRK Self-proclaiming himself the "last superstar" while fueling his come-back campaign and insulting all other actors doing so. Overinflated ego.
This is probably the first time I have heard an actor confess about him studying his face for years and knowing how to light it up as and when needed. The dedication of this level is unheard of. I don't think one could have even considered it important enough to acknowledge it and talk about it. Hrithik is truly one of a kind. He deserves much more appreciation than he receives. Much much more.
So basically Hrithik just said he succumbed to his director’s wish to include jingoistic and cliched dialogues despite his own reservations with such stuff? I seriously hope he challenges his directors more in the future with such stuff.

Good interview. Anupama strikes me as weird considering that she viewed Pathan positively and was critical of Fighter. Fighter is a good movie with excellent action sequences. Even the backstories of the characters are well flushed out. All actors in the movie did a great job. In Pathan, while I love SRK, I thought all characters were trying SO hard to look good..including Deepika and John. It was almost amateurish. Fighter, on the contrary, the characters were gripping and effortlessly blended into the storytelling. Guess we are all different!
Being a fan of his work since past 23 years I am finally giving up on him. His reasons aren't making sense and regarding flying as an actor thing, dude you have a big production company, start producing small films, act on it, hire good writers, get rid of your cha-cha's old 90s melodies and make a film for todays youth. You seems very disconnected from reality. All your caliber is wasted in working with mediocrity around. Either he is very difficult to work with or he is just too focused on just his things that rest just doesn't bother him. For a simple Walk scene doesn't need a di niro acting or backstory. He is overexplaining a simple question and that is where the problem rises. Too much selling is not a good sign. Hope he reads this and start going around, take a trip to INDIA and understand pulse of people. You cant touch a chord with people if you have no idea about their life.

From Kerala- Jus saw Fighter last day second show just bcoz i like admire and respect HR, n jus for to watch him and my love token to him saw it , climax fight script was a ameteurish but other air fight n technical , performence n AK , HR, DP chemistry was good.

I am from Bangalore. I went on holiday to Bombay in the year 2000. That era was the time of khans. Kaho na pyaar hai had just been released. I was in 6th standard. One of my dad's friends asked me who is your favourite actor, do you like Shahrukh or Salman or Amir or Saif. I just straight away said Hrithik Roshan. I was so star struck seeing Hrithik. He was my first crush 🥰❤
I’ve stopped watching Anupama’s reviews. They’ve never aligned with my viewpoint and it’s frustrating when I listen to her. I’ve been watching Bharadwaj’s and Tried and Refused, Anmol’s reviews. I find theirs much more objective and aligned to my thoughts. But I do enjoy Anupama’s interviews like this one. I’m presuming she gave a bad review for Fighter and that’s very generous of Hrithik to talk with her despite that.

I watched the movie with my family and friends and we all LOVED it. Amazing aerial sequences, intense air battles, good songs, and an amazing cast!! It had everything that makes the movie entertaining. Great Job!!

VV and now Fighter are prime examples of how the actor flew, but the star is crashing down. Dont get into this star vs actor conundrum. Anupama - This is probably the best best interview I have ever seen. Each answer was real. So deep and so Hrithik’s truth. Like he did not have any mask or any fakeness. What a joy to hear him speak.
I WISH HRITHIK WOULD READ THIS COMMENT IT IS FOR HIS OWN GOOD. My problem with HRITHIK as a Bollywood hero and star is that he comes off as unnatural. He is always trying TOOOO HARD and that doesn’t make him likeable or a star for me. He needs to stop trying soooo hard all the time. Be it his physique, his looks, his action, his dance everything is tooo perfect which is not good. He will get exhausted himself one day and the audience doesn’t like this perfection. He needs to take it easy and be more RAW AND NATURAL. He doesn’t have to be the perfect at dance or have the best physique in every movie. Raw is what we like. This is why he hasn’t been in exploded into the star that Shah Rukh Khan or other Khans have become. Even Ranbir. They are raw. They have natural abilities. I have never been attracted to see HRITHIK in a movie only because he is tooooo perfect and that is a turn off. Shah rukh doesn’t have the best look, doesn’t do the best dance but his raw charisma has made him into the biggest star ever. HRITHIK needs to stop trying so hard all the time. He can’t look like a Greek god all the time, that is such a turn off any way. Different movies require different roles. If he is to continue looking this good all the time, he might as well leave acting and just start modelling. This is my biggest turn off when it comes to him. He needs to let loose and be more natural. Too much perfection will never make you into a SUPER STAR.

I am from Bangalore. I went on holiday to Bombay in the year 2000. That era was the time of khans. Kaho na pyaar hai had just been released. I was in 6th standard. One of my dad's friends asked me who is your favourite actor, do you like Shahrukh or Salman or Amir or Saif. I just straight away said Hrithik Roshan. I was so star struck seeing Hrithik. He was my first crush 🥰❤
I’ve stopped watching Anupama’s reviews. They’ve never aligned with my viewpoint and it’s frustrating when I listen to her. I’ve been watching Bharadwaj’s and Tried and Refused, Anmol’s reviews. I find theirs much more objective and aligned to my thoughts.
But I do enjoy Anupama’s interviews like this one. I’m presuming she gave a bad review for Fighter and that’s very generous of Hrithik to talk with her despite that.

Nevertheless, I believe his next few films will surpass the 500 crore mark.

You are a great actor and one of our biggest stars. The all round talent you have is only a dream for many. Dont take your stardom so lightly. What you have is a lifelong dream for 99.99% of other people who want to make it big in the industry. Value your stardom and make efforts to take it higher several notches. I WISH HRITHIK WOULD READ THIS COMMENT IT IS FOR HIS OWN GOOD. My problem with HRITHIK as a Bollywood hero and star is that he comes off as unnatural. He is always trying TOOOO HARD and that doesn’t make him likeable or a star for me. He needs to stop trying soooo hard all the time. Be it his physique, his looks, his action, his dance everything is tooo perfect which is not good. He will get exhausted himself one day and the audience doesn’t like this perfection. He needs to take it easy and be more RAW AND NATURAL. He doesn’t have to be the perfect at dance or have the best physique in every movie. Raw is what we like. This is why he hasn’t been in exploded into the star that Shah Rukh Khan or other Khans have become. Even Ranbir. They are raw. They have natural abilities. I have never been attracted to see HRITHIK in a movie only because he is tooooo perfect and that is a turn off. Shah rukh doesn’t have the best look, doesn’t do the best dance but his raw charisma has made him into the biggest star ever. HRITHIK needs to stop trying so hard all the time. He can’t look like a Greek god all the time, that is such a turn off any way. Different movies require different roles. If he is to continue looking this good all the time, he might as well leave acting and just start modelling. This is my biggest turn off when it comes to him. He needs to let loose and be more natural. Too much perfection will never make you into a SUPER STAR.

Great interview! Hrithik's soul is always in the right place. That's what makes him so watchable. The packaging definitely doesn't hurt either, as much as he may downplay it. They're called leading man looks for a reason, Hrithik, but we appreciate, admire and respect your humility. Never lose it!
