She emphasized the devastating impact of explosive weapons in populated areas and the record displacement of 110 million people worldwide due to conflict and violence. Humanitarian efforts were hampered by attacks on aid workers and bureaucratic hurdles. Msuya called for stronger adherence to international humanitarian law, accountability for violations, and the development of proactive protection policies to better safeguard civilians in conflict zones.
