We only stay in hotels, but have friends who stay long term via condo rental. There are nice units you can rent via Airbnb in the area, just haven’t gone that route myself. I would recommend following Ebony Ladies in the DR on UA-cam, the host is very knowledgeable of the local real estate and Airbnb scene
