I absolutely love that they brought back Carla & Ryan's little bond. As I've said before, it reminds me of the old days when the Connors first came into it and used to always have their little get togethers at Carla & Paul's home. Also, it's sad but kinda cute how Carla goes on about Lisa not signing up for all she's going through. She's still so insecure cause of all the abandonment and neglect from her past but Lisa isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Kinda awful this sl had to come so close to them getting together, though, cause i did wanna see a bit more "honeymoon" period. That's not how soaps work though

This episode was good I like how Bobby is trying to help his Aunt Carla. Ryan and Bobby relationship is great like a Family. Lisa and Betsy are also Carla Family. I love Coronation Street all the Actors and Actress do a wonderful job.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hope she keeps her resolve. I don’t trust Rob any further than I could throw him (not very far.) I think he concocted that hostage situation with Mattie, in order to gain his son’s trust and to get to Carla. She needs to trust in her intuition and keep herself as far away from Rob as she can. And keep Lisa, Ryan and Betsy away from him, too. Even if that means staying on dialysis and searching for a donor on the national register. The street can have a donation drive, in order to keep searching for her.
Bobby annoyed me in todays episode. Rob has put Carla through hell and it's her choice if she doesnt want his kidney. I loved her bond with Ryan🥺🥰💕 The Swain Connor family are iconic xx
Carla will accept the kidney, Michelle will save the day with £100,000 and Rob will then gain full control over Carla and make her life a living hell which will then result in Detective Sargent sexy becoming the best thing that has ever happened to Carla in her entire life!! THIS people is how we get our power couple that NO ONE messes with 🙌
It is very frustrating that there were months and months of a slow burn when they clearly had feelings for each other but did not act upon them, then barely 5 minutes happy together (continually interrupted by others or illness other than spa day), before the transplant story started to effectively keep them apart once more. It almost feels as though 50% of the relationship has been conducted in hospital. In fact the transplant story had started even before Lisa had told Carla "I love you". By all means have this type of story as a test of the relationship but they and the viewers were surely deserving of a lot more of the happy together phase that should have lasted at least as long as the slow burn beforehand. Will the writers ever allow them to be happy together? When Lisa said "be patient with me" to Carla it could have been a message to the viewers as well! I know it is a soap and the writers want to keep the viewers wanting more but surely give the viewers what they want eventually? If they drag it out too much it could stop being believable or relatable. That would be a real shame. Please Corrie writers allow them to be happy.

That could have been part of the happy to be in love "honeymoon" time. Since Carla & Lisa "made it official" they were completely off screen for 6 episodes, then on screen together for 4 episodes (spa day & 1st public kiss), then completely off screen for 3 episodes over Christmas, then on screen together for 2 episodes (NYE), before Carla became ill and was admitted to hospital where she has been for the last 6 episodes (not forgetting the previous stay for Carla in hospital). So that will be more than half of the on screen time at the start of their relationship with Carla in a hospital bed. The slow burn story of Carla and Lisa falling in love was wonderfully perfect up to and including when they first slept together on "don't get dressed" day. But whoever it was in the writing team that thought it would be a good idea to have this gorgeous couple with amazing chemistry spend the start of their relationship with one of them in a hospital bed, after such a wonderfully perfect falling in love story, should be fired! I hope I am wrong but I cannot escape the feeling that they are starting to mess up the Carla and Lisa love story. As Carla would say: "don't".

Haven’t seen the whole episode yet, only small clips, but that was my first thought, when we first got news about the upcoming hostage drama, last week.
Bobby needs to shut the hell up & respect his aunt’s wishes, yes he is trying to help Carla just had a procedure done and she is pain we all know she will accept the kidney. but he was a little bit annoying.
Yeah, it’s way too soon and there is still so much going on; Mattie hasn’t been tried in court, his brother hasn’t been caught, Becky’s case hasn’t been fully solved and the break-in at the factory has not been resolved. Mason’s not yet even buried. Carla’s got a long road of dialysis, organ searching and the recovery ahead of her, then getting back to her normal life. However, I think that after Carla has recovered fully, things with her and Lisa’s relationship may progress quickly, as they will have weathered so much by that point. However, I still don’t see it happening before the summer.
