Beautiful vlog, please share how you do your organised mum method. May be what a typical week looks like as like you I remember doing it and the house was so clean and I felt so good about it and I'd like to get back into it. I havnt done it properly for a long time. Thankyou 😊

I had this but it was much worse on my feet. Developed in the run up to my wedding - I don’t have any photos of my hand and ring as it looked awful. I was referred to a dermatologist who didn’t know what caused it, but I tried lots of creams and a lotion to bathe my feet in. In the end it did go and they put it down to stress!
I hope Lee is okay. The last podcast I heard you were discussing solo parenting for the whole of the holidays as he would be offshore, but he’s obviously been home instead for at least the second week.

Hello! I suffered with really bad pompholyx on my hand last year and like you cut out everything to try and figure out what the problem was. In the end it was two products that saved my skin: Thunderbird Skin rescue balm applied all over the affected areas and left on overnight with a cotton glove, and also the probiotic from Hanna Sillitoe which is geared towards skin complications. The healing process was slow, but my skin is now completely clear ☺️

I know it’s a weird suggestion but mine is hugely triggered by products as well. It took ages to work it out but I was advised by a dermatologist to try putting my moisturiser’s etc on with gloves (you know the hospital ones?). I only use aveeno or aqueous cream on my hands. That made the biggest difference. You then add one product in per fortnight without the gloves to see what it is. There’s some things I can use fine but certain things I can’t use without gloves. Between that and limiting red foods (tomato, pepper etc) it’s really helped mine. We stick so many things on our hands without realising that it can help to work inside -> out and also outside -> in.

And yes steroids seemed to make mine worse or didn’t really help. I’ve yet to find anything that stops it when I’m stressed but can keep it minimal doing the above. At its worst I ended up in hospital a few times as a kid as they swelled so much my fingers touched even when I spread them as wide as I could. It’s a horrible type of eczema isn’t it!

FYI not all allergies can be detected by blood/skin prick tests. You can have a non IgE allergy which wouldn’t show on bloods, they are symptom diagnosed. Dairy can stay in your system for 6 weeks and you have to completely cut it out, and may want to consider cutting out soya too. My youngest is allergic to lots. To get to the bottom of it, you might need to consider an exclusion diet. Brutal but you might feel like it’s necessary. Good luck!

Thanks for the video. With the eczema I used CNS for allergy testing. You might also benefit from a comprehensive stool analysis- often skin issues link back to the gut.

Might of missed it but have you ever had proper allergy tests through a dermatologist? After having my kids my eczema was horrendous and so out of control with the GP I was having courses of oral steroids and everything. Got referred to a dermatologist who actually gave me a proper plan and had skin allergy testing and came back I was allergic to a chemical which was in near enough all of my shampoos and hand washes. Since going to a proper dermatology clinic it’s been under such good control and I don’t often have flare ups.
Love your content - I grew up in the same area you live and my grandad is buried near the river and it’s so nostalgic watching your videos ☺️ Lived in England for about 17 years now but still miss it! X

Have you tried putting good old witch hazel fluid from boots on a cotten pad & rub over blisters.. Let dry few mins & then rub in good old aloe Vera gel from b&m. Takes itch away immediately. 👍

Second the shampoo, soap & hand sanitizers. Also your face cream and wash you apply every day you rub in with your hands.
I hope it gets better soon🤞

I have had eczema all my life and also get a similar type of eczema to you on my hands. It gets worse with stress yes, but also cleaning products massively effect my hands. Dairy is the biggest contributer to eczema however, cows milk is a big no no!
