DUDE, the fact that you mentioned you got into Dutch Kickboxers through the K1 Sega Saturn game. That's just awesome. I got into kickboxing growing up through the K1 Revenge game for PS1 myself! And I've been hooked since.
I love your example of how you learned about Dutch kickboxing I learned about kickboxing from American kickboxing but found out about Dutch kickboxing from watch Bas Rutten in Pancrase
Bro best gym. I currently do BJJ. There’s another gym right next door that’s a hardcore Muay Thai and dutch kickboxing gym. I will need to fork over 90 bucks a week to do both but it might be worth it to learn crucial defense skills
I loved those K-1 games, I wish there was a Rizin game. I like the idea of having one long health bar that goes down in 2-3 rounds. Although if I wanted to, I could go to Tekken and set the number of rounds to 1 and have the life bar be above 100%. Dutch Kickboxing is great, it's better than the disastrous American Kickboxing where it's just terrible boxing matches with some kicks.
Dude, this Saturn game, I played it so much as well. I always thought it was kinda obscure. I was actually right before opening this video watching footage of it to remember how it was. What a coincidence 😅
i remember watching ramon dekkers highlight back in 2007/8 and i thought who is that guy?and start researching what i just saw and fell in love with dutch kick boxing.i found it much easier to follow then muay thai but muay thai knees and elbows are much better(dutch punching is way better then muay thai) but hey to each their own.what ever you follow do it right and keep fighting
I learned about Dutch kickboxing by asking a worship leader at my church in China to spar. He was dutch..... First jab caused the back of my head to hit my back. I will never judge a book by its cover again!

When the training is rougher and more competiive than the actual match, it's a Dutch training ;)
