lower left corner youll see a car -- that is your panel damage meter. you can change and upgrade your cars in the garage screen. You will need to upgrade heavily for later races.. There are very few lawnmower ( career ) maps, however you can go to the custom event screen and set up lawnmower races on any map.. Later in the game through career mode you also unlock busses, double decker cars ( a car on top of a car) some farm machinery, a big rig ect..
As someone who has almost 500 hours in this game, it makes me happy to see channels that I enjoy find out about it! If you want to go nuts and upgrade everything, own all the vehicles, etc, there is a “Free Market Mod” that will make everything cost $0. Or, you could play around with the Zero Gravity or Pinball mods. Either way, enjoy!!

You wreck others by destroying their lawnmowers, not them literally. Think of it this way, you hit them off, they don't die, they get back on their lawnmowers. If you destroy their lawnmowers, they can't drive. There's a health bar above everyone, so hit the ones with low health. I hope that helped. :) P.S. also watch Soundhead Entertainment, he makes great videos on Wreckfest.
you should play beamng.drive! It's a soft body physics game and you can destroy some cars which really realistic and satisfying. There's some rock crawling and off road too.
