I play the flute and sometimes if I play higher notes I'll just get up to my toes, the opposite when I play low notes. I always have to chuckle when I catch myself on it xD
My teacher always tells me to keep my fingers close to the string when playing tricky passages... good advice! But then I see Maxim Vengerov and Ray Chen reach for the stars and catch a few aliens when they play and I don't feel as bad lol.
IDK if its true but I doubt it. I think it was like wieniawski wrote the hard part for him and the easy part so him and his brother could play together
As much as the duet content split is definitely not even, I certainly appreciated this having a brother 6 years younger than me. Actually had a duet we could play when we were kids (albeit not this good) rather than having to either do something incredibly simple when he was young, or waiting for him to be experienced enough for something like the bach double, which he is only finishing up now while I'm gone for college.
What an awesome piece! And their expressions too xD I appreciate that classically-trained (is that a word?) musicians now tend to put modern twists to their music or make refreshing contents to make people become more interested in classical music.
Oh my! That was amazing!!! I'm blown away by both of yalls talent!!! I couldn't quit laughing the entire time because of Ray Chen's facial expressions😂😂 his eyebrows can dance better than me
So amazing! Why are you so good at playing the violin! Thank you sharing! Please share more videos of Wieniawski Etudes-Caprices, Op. 18 No. 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am Practicing Wieniawski so please Share more Wieniawski!!!!!
wonderful video and great music by the both of you. Thanks for posting. Ray Chen is surely gifted, but Daniel Jang is very gifted also, at least to these ol ears. Ray plays a Stradivarius. As a professional, does it really make a difference? Honestly, as a non musician in any sense, I cannot tell the difference. Also, Rob's video is as usual, excellent. He is definitely very talented.
his controlling of the piece was so perfect, when your doing a really fast piece it take really good controlling and I'm a voilnish too but I am still learning
Chen your facial expressions... Ahh you gave a good ending to a not so good day 🙂 this was awesome guys, though I've seen it many time before I never commented till now 💙
wow! is great listen this great art, and more because is my birthday, though not be for my is beautiful. Congratulations you hear great interpretation.
You probably won't see this...but could you do a cover of "I get to love you" by Ruelle? You're amazing with the violin and I'm proud you've grown on UA-cam 👏🏻👏🏻
Rachel Carlson you can take music as a subject in secondary school (basically british high school), and get a qualification at the end if you pass an exam; kind of like finals?
Rachel Carlson I'm glad it even made sense omg Yeah the course is awful, it's very limited and idk if it's just my class but we literally sit around doing fuck all for the whole lesson xD Nobody teaches theory and if ya don't play piano/can't compose then whoops
This was fantastic! I hope to be that good one day. Daniel, I have a question. What kind of violin do you have (not like I'd be able to get an advanced violin)? I am trying to find an intermediate violin to take me through college (and I hope to be in a professional orchestra one day). So far, I have found a Guarneri that I really like.
Well he plays a real Stradivarius, I’m not sure if you have a real Guarneri it’s probably a copy. Because guarneris go for millions. And it’s definitely not an intermediate violin. But u can get an intermediate one at a nearby store.
Omg even in my dreams I can´t move my fingers so fast!! This was so amazing!!! I want more!!♥♥♥ I really want to learn how to play violine!!! But don´t have enough time or money :,(
What type of differences do people with more perceptive ears find with a Stradivarius versus an ordinary violin? I could not tell in this video, so I want to know if the hype is correct about those ancient instruments.
insane. You both are handsome and funny. I love your UA-cam videos. Can you make an album together, or individually. I have found Daniel on Spotify. Yes Ray, keep teaching and sharing your talents with your fans.
if the notes go up so does his eyebrows.
I don’t care.
I play the flute and sometimes if I play higher notes I'll just get up to my toes, the opposite when I play low notes. I always have to chuckle when I catch myself on it xD
I like his expression while he plays this piece xD
expressive eyebrows :)
xDD
Lmao
:))))))
eyes rolled ...lolll
1:53 Ladies and gentlemen, a world class musician right there. That's a mood XD
background music
The left hand of Ray Chen becomes a spider 😂😂😂
Ha! I just described Rays fingers as looking like spiders, to my husband! Great minds think alike!
😂
👍😊
Totally kkkkkkkk
I think if you play anything by wieniawski your left hand instantly becomes a spider
My teacher always tells me to keep my fingers close to the string when playing tricky passages... good advice! But then I see Maxim Vengerov and Ray Chen reach for the stars and catch a few aliens when they play and I don't feel as bad lol.
And on the other side you have Kavakos whose fingers look like they barely move at all half the time :-)
There's a funny little glitch on my screen saying people disliked this video hmm weird
anonymous1234 same
weird, the same glitch happens for me too
I kept catching myself watching Ray's face and eyebrows instead of the violin xD
I watch this over & over all the time. I was born in Hunan in China & started playing violin when I was 5. Love your channel! God bless you.
Ray Chen, Eddy Chen, and Ben Chan should maybe meet
If I’m correct, Ray and Eddy are already fans. You can check out a TwoSet video with Ray by searching up “Video Game Battle ft. Ray Chen” 😊
@@jessicachu8400 Ray, Brett and Eddy already did multiple videos. He's the third member of twosetviolin. And he ships Breddy.
Omg now that you say it, I never noticed :"D and Daniel Yang and Brett Yang!
@@Dilara-ei4dl add frank yang to that
Rip Brett 😂
Wow that tone! #goals
It's like the second violin part was made so that the person playing the first part could flex
IDK if its true but I doubt it. I think it was like wieniawski wrote the hard part for him and the easy part so him and his brother could play together
nick davis aww that’s nice
when your little brother wants to play too
As much as the duet content split is definitely not even, I certainly appreciated this having a brother 6 years younger than me. Actually had a duet we could play when we were kids (albeit not this good) rather than having to either do something incredibly simple when he was young, or waiting for him to be experienced enough for something like the bach double, which he is only finishing up now while I'm gone for college.
As i sit here listening to this piece and see the expressions on their faces, I get chills down my spine.
When you did all the work on the group project so they just have to change the slides while you give the presentation
OMG, i love it how you two play together😻
Ooooh that can be thought in a dirty way lol.
you 2 should try paganini's theme and variation:p the original version where he was so quick like light.
YESSSS Wienawski gives me LIFE and Ray is just too damn perfect 👏🏼 please do more classical on your channel as well! It's amazing!
people like you, makes me love the music and violin
Djang looks like a little kid next to ray haha
What an awesome piece! And their expressions too xD
I appreciate that classically-trained (is that a word?) musicians now tend to put modern twists to their music or make refreshing contents to make people become more interested in classical music.
Yes, that is an actual word. 5 years late but who cares?
That is insane!!! Ray Chen's expressions are hilarious!!
Quite a fantastical piece. I had a wonderful time watching, and I hope you had a wonderful time playing!
Insane, feels like they’re cuting cheese, smooth and ease
I'm so relieved I'm not the only one who looks this way when playing a hard piece. Eyebrows are point haha.
a stradivarius violin omoo 😍 this is so great, you play together so well! 👌
omg, it's so great to see u play with Ray Chen
We want more of classical please!😍
Fantastic duo, you two! 😊 Hoping to hear more classical covers from you, Daniel - especially solo pieces. ❤️❤️
Oh my! That was amazing!!! I'm blown away by both of yalls talent!!! I couldn't quit laughing the entire time because of Ray Chen's facial expressions😂😂 his eyebrows can dance better than me
Ray is out of the world!!!

+Neru Akita ohh, I see. Thanks for answering. I don't think I could do that... It would make music to stressful for me XD
Rachel Carlson I'm glad it even made sense omg
