    You are one of the best teachers I have experienced, "integrity" perfect adjective to describe you. Thank you, your passion totally shines through.

    Also if you slip into "victim mode" what happens is that your brain processes passivity and simultaneously spurs depression. The right frontal lobe promotes passivity and negative emotions, while the left frontal lobe promotes positive feelings and taking action. There are different ways to activate your left frontal lobe: being around people, exposing yourself to bright light, exercising, taking action, posivite thinking etc. (source: Rewire Your Brain by John B. Thank Brian for the Victim/Hero and rewiring the brain. I know in my soul that I cannot stay stuck in victim role with my cancer diagnosis, but my brain has been keeping me there.I need these pep talks! BTW!!! I finally signed up for all the goodness your offer!

    Hi Brian, thank you kindly for your feedback :-) What I meant about summary, I wasn`t asking about the average summaries, but yours PhilosophNotes that are awesome. The 3 free notes that I got from you really blew my mind :-) So let me rephrase my question: is your PhilosophNotes enough to suck the wisdom up from a particular book? I would spend one day insted of one week. Really less time to get the wisdom :-)

    • @HeroicBrian
      @HeroicBrian  9 років тому

      cristian cris Hi Cristian: Thanks for your kind words! I see the PhilosohersNotes as a supplement to, not a replacement of the book! I like to introduce people to new authors/titles they may not have otherwise discovered and then you'll have a better sense of which ones you want to explore more deeply. Make sense?! High fives! :)

    Awesome idea. I've been really into dreams lately and I've noticed I'm becoming more of a hero in my dreams as opposed to a victim. This has coincided with good things happening in my life.
    P.S this video is one of the awesome things in my day. Thanks man

    I think no.3 can be a bit dangerous for people that don't fully understand what it means, it can become a tool for people not to change, for instance "I like to swear or smoking etc a lot, I know it's bad but that's just me", if you know something is bad for you change it, don't say "Hey, nobody is perfect". Ultimately it comes down to, be the perfect version of yourself, but not the perfect version of the world, because that is not going to happen, and one should not aspire to that either.

    Awesome Brian 😄. Love to watch your 5 big ideas from great book every day. Since January I've been reading at least a book a week. My question for you is the summary enough to suck up wisdom from the book? From Brazil, Cristian.

    • @HeroicBrian
      @HeroicBrian  9 років тому

      cristian cris Thanks, Cristian! The summary barely scratches the surface of these great books so I highly recommend you dive in deeper on the ones that really inspire you!! From California, Bri! :)

    Whats the Tattoo on your right hand ?

    • @HeroicBrian

      Qazi Rubayet Sanskrit symbol representing the third chakra, which, for me, represents self-mastery, discipline, authentic expression, etc.!
