Awesome video.....your videos have helped me learn and continue to help me grow within the hobby.....I watch everyday and can't wait to get some money to join because of that........I hope to get back to work soon so I have money to get tripod so I can do more videos....I'm wrapping up my 1st build on 2nd rc ever.
@JOE ? it looks like you could move those front links up & on the inside of the frame to help the front geometry tho. maybe a longer bolt through the frame and mount the upper links in the holes of the trey mount . Or even use a bent link to get it there. I mean no more forces than that will have. It should be good. Cuz I’m thinking if you could just move them uppers ,up a little, it would help a lot. Idk. You obviously know more about it than me. But hey ?? A VERRRY KOOL BUILD MAN 👍👍. Very Kool
i love this build, suspension dynamics and tuning is my favorite thing about vehicles and what got me into RC to be honest, i realized it would be much cheaper to play around with dream builds at 1/10th scale and quit putting so much money into my jeep lol....
Hey man. You can try those shock mount lift kit/droop plates to raise the shocks up. I'm running 120mm shocks on scx10ii and I am lower than the stock ride height with 90mm shocks. Live your stuff I thumbs up every video. Keep it up Joe
On this chassis? I gotta get it out and give it a drive before I e adjustments and stuff. 120mm shocks have more overall travel than the shorter shocks so I can see a benefit to what you’re doing.
Right I wasn't recommending 120mm but just on the shocks you're using just to get a hight mounting point to lower the overall ride height. I'm running those big shocks for fun more FLEX otherwise there is no performance gain.
Interesting build series. Link geometry isn't something I've looked at very closely. I noticed you're getting some torque twist, does that Capra transmission have counter rotating outputs? If not I'm pretty sure someone's come out with one. Dying to see how it works on the rocks!
Started a build with that chassis, only axles" For me " that ever brought it all in perspective were the capra axles but that there rig is interesting.
The stock Ryft tires are absolutely terrible for crawling. I've got them on steel wheels and crawler innovations dual stage foams, soft. They just don't perform how I'd like them to when crawling on my Ryft Crawler.I've tried using them a few times hoping they would break in but they are a no go for me so far.I've got the Hyrax 2.2 in the predator compound and G8 compound and the Ryft really likes them. It does best with the predator compound on my setup. I'm running Vitavon portals as well with the spektrum 2100kv Sensored smart system,Yeti 68t spur gear and 14t pinion, she's a creepy crawler for sure. This build you have going is very interesting🧐 can't wait to see what it's capable of once you have it all dialed in. I'm definitely going to look into doing the Capra transmission conversion for the dig feature, that's just awesome. I just don't know if it's necessary being I'm 4 wheel steer as well just like yours. Definitely looking forward to future vids of this build.Good stuff! I know this isn't necessarily a Ryft but it's got Ryft axles lol
I thought about that but I may change to a 3-gear with vanquish dig so I’ll wait and see where it goes from here. But yeah super easy to fit a 9t on that one.
It is but I went with a 1000kv gears down as much as possible. The lower kv motors are easier on esc’s and I’m hoping for the best. I have a feeling this will need a lower geared transmission.
Will a 9 tooth fit on the Capra? I’m running a 11 but I wouldn’t mind going smaller.. or is there something else I need to do Joe? And the wheels and tires will come loose my buddy done it to put a different set of wheels in those tires.. vitavon silver that way its all color matched lol just kidding on the color lol
Legit 7075 alloy, the guy owns his own machines, works 16+hrs a day plus on top of that he has brought us so many very nice products for all kinds of RC’s. That’s a few of the reasons plus I’m a dealer so costs are a little bit less.
Not taking the easy way out that’s for sure … great detailed information… awesome build bud …
Man I can’t wait to these this monster on the rocks! Don’t stop this build keep it up!!!!
I hoping to get it on the rocks today. Got to show how I got these tires on the Vitavon wheels…. Took some thought…
It looks sick
Nice build
Thanks!
Totally bad ass. It almost looks like it needs a suck down winch in the front to synch it down
Well when it digs it pulls down really good. LoL.
Nice!!! 👍
I like that you are always trying new things and you aren't scared of complete failure in the pursuit of success!! Keep being awesome 👌
Numero uno! 😁

Raise the upper links on the frame to reduce the twist and squat.
Yeah the front is an issue. I’ll mess with that next.
When im messin with my scx24, in my workbench theres always something to crawl over. 😁
True! I can do a whole video on the table with one of them. LoL

I couldn’t ever imagine starting something like this but it’s really fun to watch. 💯
GOOD AFTERNOON JOE FROM ENGLAND SIR 🇬🇧🇺🇸♥️🕊️✌️
Hey buddy
Thor would nice in dark blue with chrome flake, maybe light blue lightning mixed in. Just an idea.
I looked at it and with all that silver and black on it as it sits. I’m just going with that for the body. So hopefully it turns out well.
@@ExocagedRC Sounds good! Can't wait to see it.

Yeah I have Optimus 3 and Myolnir, same chassis with Capra axles.
Awesome video. Would it help to put your front upper links into the next whole up from where they are?
I can but then the axle will be tilted wrong. From what I can see I’ll either need to fab up custom links or do some drilling.
@@ExocagedRC oh ok. Gonna be a Lil bit of a learning curve with the front & rear trailing arm setup
Desert lizard 100mm shocks in fl drop set up will be crazy and sort the twist

Can you move the front upper links to the bolt directly above where they are now? That would help geometry and fix the pinion angle.
I’d have to fab up custom links or drill new holes. I’ll see how this actually drives before I mess with it.
Id do a bigger 1.9 tire like a rockbeast xl or flat iron
Got the flatirons. Nope don’t want them and I’ve had the rock beasts. Nope I don’t like them. I’ve got some 2.2 trenchers on it now.
What about the treal trans case for the Capra
I thought about that but I may change to a 3-gear with vanquish dig so I’ll wait and see where it goes from here. But yeah super easy to fit a 9t on that one.
So the CM Mini isn't limited by weight restrictions?
It is but I went with a 1000kv gears down as much as possible. The lower kv motors are easier on esc’s and I’m hoping for the best. I have a feeling this will need a lower geared transmission.
What's the smallest pinion you can put in the 3 gear?
Which ones better treal or vitavon?
Can’t go wrong with either one.
What motor did you put in your ecto?
1800kv revolver.
@@ExocagedRC what would you think the 2500 would be like
The body should be a ranger
What is the wheelbase on Thor??

I had to trim out the holes on the stock trans case to fit it. It barely gets in there.
Hi juste what to say dat the vitavon whells don’t fit on the ryft tires you af to cut the fome to fit dame😁😁
I’ve figure out a way to mess with foams a bit to fit the Proline 2.2 Trenchers on it. I’ll show that on the next video of this.
Can you try Louise Rowdy tyres? (Or duratrax equivalent)
Try 50 front and 60 rears
Hi sir, what ESC do you use? Thanks iam form Indonesian
Did I read that scale right? Already at around 8 pounds? Daaaayum lol.
LoL yep. Tons of metal on this thing.
What is your obsession with over priced vitavon
