    Thanks for the video. Helpful to a new WR250F owner for sure. I have done my oil change a half dozen times now so am familiar with the process. One thing though, the 1.1 L of oil you mention is the TOTAL oil in the engine. There is a wet sump, and the amount of oil to change is actually .83L or .87L depending on whether you are changing the oil filter or not. 1.1L is for when you disassemble the engine and totally drain it. This is specified in the User manual.

    You can push out safely to 10 hours down the track but being its first change it was a good idea to do it now. As you mentioned it will tell you a lot about the bike

    Here is an idea! Have the bikini girl work on the bike while you record, after all she already washes it!

    I thought the wr250 was good for oil changes after so many miles, not hours. Is it because you dedicate it to dirt?

    • @danny12threes6
      @danny12threes6 5 років тому

      wr250r is miles, the wr250f is hours i believe. the wr250r is more of a dualsport with a more relaxed engine that is best for street and dirt. the wr250f is for trail riding and entirely for dirt so the engine is made for more performance and lower weight. the dual sports usually hold more oil therefor the reason why the maintenance for the 250r is a lot less and the 250r is more dirt bike style high maintenance less oil capacity. Im not a pro but this is all on just reading and saving up pennies for either of these two bikes mentioned lol not sure which one

    • @chuckwalla325

      The 2019 wr250f does say “miles” in the manual. It’s available online for free.

      I usually wear mechanics gloves to help prevent cuts and latex gloves for oil changes since used oil can cause cancer. But I guess getting cancer is cool? I bet you don't wear those sissy safety glasses either when using a grinder.

    • @gordis951
      @gordis951 5 років тому

      He was safe and wore the rubber, not for handling the parts but when removing the drain plug when he would be exposed to a large amount of used oil.
