What a GOAT playlist! I used to jam to this all the time back when I was a teen, working part-time at a café in 2019. I’d play it for the customers, and seeing this video again just unlocked a flood of memories. Back then, life felt so chill-no major worries about money or the future. I was working just to get myself little things I wanted. But now, even though I make more, spending doesn’t feel the same. There’s just so much more on my mind-saving for the future, making sure I can take care of my family, and maybe one day, someone I love. Especially my parents, as they get older… Man, I’d give anything to go back to those carefree days...

I always come back to this mix. This takes me back to January of 2020 when I’d put this on my tv, open the blinds to a view of snow covered roads. My moms big Rottweiler would come into my room and lay on my bed looking out to the snow. Both of our anxious minds were at ease and i felt safe. I miss that feeling. I miss that dog. Now im back again trying to win my fight against depression, again laying down, and telling myself one day, i will come back to this playlist and say, "everything is okay".

I've listened to this track so many times, I stopped counting. I found this track way back, maybe three or four years ago when it was firstly uploaded, and listened to it on a daily basis. Every time I feel sad, anxious or just the whole mix of uneasy emotions, i put on this musicmix and feel like im coming home to a cup of hot chocolate and a warm blanket.

My beloved 200 year old hackberry tree, where the owl sits to converse with me is going to be cut down within 2-3 weeks.
I'm glad I got to spend at least one more night listening to this with a bottle of wine, staring up into it's canopy.
