I agree with Temu Larson's take about the main event. Solo wasn't built enough so we were just waiting for the cameos. Now we can build to the OG Bloodline Avengers Assemble moment. Going to be epic! Getting Jey back into the fold should be interesting.
I love the idea that Dom mimics the style of whoever he's around. He wore his little superhero suit with his dad, he's been a goth wiener with the JD now I hope he does the Chavo country club look while he's with Liv.
My boy Luke must not read many books. The whole chapter analogy with Liv/Rhea only being in chapter 1 is insane. So Liv inures Rhea, wins the title, starts trying to get with Dom, Rhea returns, then she beats Rhea and steals Dom is all one chapter to Luke. I don’t disagree that there was a little lull in the middle of the feud but to say it’s always been in the first chapter is nuts.
@@aaronlaws2573 I was thinking the exact same thing while listening. Liv injuring Rhea, winning the title, luring Dom, Rhea returning and the Summerslam match are all separate chapters and you could even add more if you include all the pre-Wrestlemania history between Rhea and Liv.

I honestly was so happy to see Nia Jax beat Bayley; while it would've been nice to see Bayley get more of a focus as champ, Nia's improvement over the past year has been a joy to see, so she fully deserved a run imo. Bayley's powerbomb on her was one of the spots of the night too! Edit: Tonga Loa is officially in my boy stable after the main event, he is comedy gold
I feel like Roman is entering an era similar to 2010 Undertaker, after that last reign with the title it was about him and his aura because he was bigger than the title. I don't think Roman will be worried about going back after the title because he already proved himself, now all that matters is his family
I enjoyed the PLE's in the past, but the last year or two have been better and Summer Slam was a great PLE. One of my favorite spots I guess was Damien seeing the screen and realizing Finn cost him. That was new and a good use of the screens. That Rhea/Liv match was great. Not a Punk fan, but that match was great. Seth's involvement kind of echoed Wrestle Mania where he came out and Roman hit him with the chair and lost to Cody. Punk kept getting distracted by his problems with Seth and ended up losing. Hate that Bayley lost, but I am happy for Nia, she has improved so much. Still hate Knight. Everyone can chill now, Bron is IC champion. And Gunther is the new World Champion, finally.
Last year's summerslam was pretty mediocre though. The main event was bad and too long. The only good matches that I remember were Brock vs Cody and Seth vs Finn. This year's summerslam was much better than 2023.

Overall thought the PLE was solid. Only match ending i wasnt a fan of is Nia/Bailey. Not even that upset Bailey lost as its to Nia. Nothing says rock is on the board like havin the bloodline get the tag titles already and nia womens champ. Shes awful, her voice is nails on chalkboards, her promos suck, her in ring work is eh and her finisher is her sitting on people lmao. But since hes part of the bloodline shes prob gonna keep the title wayyyyyyy to long.
This guys main criticism of the Liv & Dom storyline is “I wanted this turn a month ago” lmao what? Don getting back with Rhea for a week or 2 made us realize how cute they were together. You don’t even know how marked out you are

For once I wanna see raw and smackdown but we all know one will be good the other will take a backseat til next week just to keep us glued like I feel Roman will not be there and they’ll say next week he’ll appear
This is going to sound dickhead-ish but I don't care for Nia as a character and a wrestler, I'm sure that she's a lovely person and she must be so happy and that's absolutely great for her but she reminds of a time when Vince just booked giants to squash people regardless of how bad or good they were and Nia was baaaaad. Also they disrespected Bayley yet again by giving her an underwhelming title run

The Rock is going to be revealed as being behind the New Bloodline. This will setup Rock vs. Roman.
i gamed for 2 decades until I had to stop due to health reasons, I quickly realized what a waste of time they are and never looked back
No CM Punk walks into WWE twice. Cause it's not the same Punk and it's not the same WWE
Also just saw an article, it appears Fatus injury is legit and hes in a walking boot. Could still be a sell of course but i watched the replay and it looks like he grabbed his ankle and i just dont see how he would of gotten hurt unless it was legit
They can't have Rock come back and be a face because it undoes all the work they did leading up to WM40.
@32:24 summarises this review 😅
Fantasy booking would be OG bloodline with Rock v the The New Blood(line) in war games, Rock turns on OG bloodline for Rock v Roman at Mania.
Can't believe they boo their home guy Cleveland logan Paul should have been cheered don't get me wrong I like la knight yeah but Paul face turned
Is it me or each year, your trying to get more money from us wrestletalk fans. 1st it was super chat $5 above. Now asking for $2 for your everyday content? I know its your a business but greed will piss off some of us viewers!
25:42 Wrestletalk in crisis ??!!!
"Solo is much smarter than people give him credit for" okay put a math problem in front of him and watch him crumble 😂
I love love love Punks ugly elbow, but that was one of the most fucked up ones
We get the joke
How did Tonga Loa get to this level ?😂 hes awful
This guys main criticism of the Liv & Dom storyline is “I wanted this turn a month ago” lmao what? Don getting back with Rhea for a week or 2 made us realize how cute they were together. You don’t even know how marked out you are
Is lori blake still part of wrestletalk?
@@Drcp1999 I think he does more parts funknown now
Great Review Dan & Luke
Good but WAY to predicable
16:29 i like that video too Dan!
SummerSlam was so predictable man
All those years since tried to put roman over as a baby face and trips does it easily 1st try
This show wasn’t for me, I thought it was okay throughout and nothing more but I’m really glad something like wrestling can bring so much joy to people, really shows the impact storytelling like wrestling can have
For once I wanna see raw and smackdown but we all know one will be good the other will take a backseat til next week just to keep us glued like I feel Roman will not be there and they’ll say next week he’ll appear
Another Tonga Loa botch, it’s gotta be a gimmick now
That botch got him into my boy stable
Did u just say just like Aew they book random matches. lol yea cause there doing so well u dope
Whoever doesn’t like this show must be missing severcak brain cells
Dom and Carlito being the only two in a Judgement day faction would be really funny.
The tribal queef has returned
This is going to sound dickhead-ish but I don't care for Nia as a character and a wrestler, I'm sure that she's a lovely person and she must be so happy and that's absolutely great for her but she reminds of a time when Vince just booked giants to squash people regardless of how bad or good they were and Nia was baaaaad. Also they disrespected Bayley yet again by giving her an underwhelming title run
That summaslam show was not good, it bad, it be a very bad show
Am I the only one who thought this show was mad underwhelming
@@KingChaddii yup
@michaelzubine6779 did you like your own comment? Also I have no problem standing alone on this. This show was mid at best
@@JoeChianelli okay? Does this make you feel better? Tf
@@KingChaddiiDid liking your own comment and then trying to project it on to someone else make YOU feel better? So transparent😂😂😂
Its your personal opinion. If I may ask what are your reasons.
Dan is sucha white middle class liberal, he didn't even know that was a reference to Rollin by Limp Bizkit which was once The Undertaker's theme.
And Dan's like a decade older than me in his mid 30s.
