The fact that Quick Kick got his kick caught by the Royal Guardsman was the funniest thing to me. He was probably thinking I need a new Joe codename. lol
1. There were only 7 Joes (and no Greenshirts) in this fight. So, it was a short one. 2. Look what happened when all the Joes (with Greenshirts) fought them in the final battle. The Guards got beaten.
The Greenshirts are the unidentified male and female troopers G.I.JOE have. They are the counterpart of all the nameless COBRA troopers. In other words, the ones who don't have code names.
When that ice breaks and that music is chiming with the chilling Cobra La battle cry...it gets me every time. These Joes had NOOOO idea what they were getting into. It's all good though! Thanks for posting.
@@WizelBalan This movie is actually way better about that than TF was. Yeah there's some new characters but for the most part the GI Joe movie gives fair focus to the old characters throughout, and the main focus villain is still Serpentor from the cartoon and they take care to basically show every single Joe from both seasons 1 and 2 in at least a non voiced cameo. By contrast the TF movie basically dumped everyone but the new guys and Dinobots 15 minutes into the film and a ton of characters from the show never show up at all. Hasbro had learned their lesson that kids were actually attached to the characters as characters and not just toys and had adjusted accordingly. And if we ever got that Jem film, it would have even been better and only had new villains and still focused on the leads from the show. But sadly it was not to be.
Do you remember Sgt. Slughter's debut in the series? He wiped out multiple dozens of B.A.T.s. androids by himself. He also used his thumb nail as a screw driver. If that isn't OP, then I don't know what is.
@@alanguages He even earned the respect of Cobra Commander. When he saw Slaughter doing that screwdriver bit & he escaped,CC was like " His perseverance is AMAZING!!!" He even cheered Slaughter to whip Serpentor
The one thing I could never fathom was the fact that one of these Cobra La guards (just ONE) managed to easily take out Quick Kick. Not to mention they took out Snake Eyes of all people with just a bitch slap. Yet these guards couldn't do the same to Sgt. Slaughter later on. He basically manhandled them.
At the end, they should have let Snake Eyes cut loose. I mean really cut loose. He is a ninja after all and at full combat mode, Snake Eyes would have kicked some ass.
Snake Eyes = Most popular Joe, my favorite Joe, one of the OGs, and biggest character in the comics. Me = I hope Snake Eyes does something cool in the movie! Me after seeing 0:21 = Well...that sucked.
Ngl this is probably one of the best scenes in the movie. The 'lalala' trill is so horrfying and so many big names like Snake Eyes, Lady Jaye, Shipwreck etc. just got so easily curbstomped. Not to mention Nemesis Enforcer just ripped apart a Snow Cat so easily. Never happened on the show really. If they had the balls they had in the transformers movie i think some of these guys would have died here
I absolutely loved this part too. It was kinda scary to me back in the day because I had never seen the Joes so easily outclassed. Even the music was new to me at the time, being lifted directly from Transformers. Everything about the scene let you know it was a new game with higher stakes. I think that was a Havoc by the way. The Snow Cat was white with yellow missiles; I had one as a kid! =)
These guards are supposed to be superhuman but in the end fight though they're many of them...not to mention the citizens of Cobra-La including armed nobles GI Joe thoroughly destroy the lost city (they covered the globe and yet they only built one btw). Also you would have thought they'd have brought more Green shirts...after all they're dealing with Cobra-la's forces and all of Cobra's forces. Every time I start liking this film I'm reminded how I didn't even like it as a kid.
Capt America can't even do what nemesis did. Yet Sgt Slaughter beat him. They're going to pull this shit with Hulk and Thanos in infinity wars 2. Just watch...lol
The people running the GI Joe line at Hasbro had to be doing major drugs to come up with some of the story lines and characters near the end of the line.
The best bit was when Zartan was a bit unsure about the whole 'helping Cobra-La kill humanity' plan but then Cobra-La paid him off and he was cool with it. Where are you going to spend the cash, Zartan??
My biggest question is. Why is cobra commander a mutant snake noble man?...i liked him better as a used car salesman with a tragic story and was generally pushed to become the commander and had high expectations for ruling the world and being a wicked leader
Cobra Commander can be both. Who's to say he didn't build up COBRA by using his knowledge of being a used car salesman after leaving Cobra-La? It did greatly cover his origin from any spying eyes that G.I.JOE and Oktoberfest Guard had used. They never what he was until they met Cobra-La.
It's a re-arrangement by Johnny Douglas and Robert J. Walsh of the theme where the Decepticons attack Autobot City in the movie. Unfortunately NONE of their compositions were made available to the general public, because back in the day these companies thought that there was no market to put TV cartoon soundtracks onto cassette, vinyl etc.
Ben Geiger It was actually re-scored for season 3 of Transformers. Sunbow/Marvel were able to re-use existing music cues from other shows, due to them all being by the same composers; Robert J. Walsh and Johnny Douglas.
One of my gripes from this movie eversince is how Snake Eyes is so incapable on some of his scene.Being a Marvel comics fan, thia cartoon Snake Eyes is a disgraced.☹️ The defiant Snake Eyes on the prison getaway scene is the only redemption he got, before a giant tentacles snares him good.
Nemesis Enforcer has superhuman strength, yet Sgt. Slaughter beats him and Roadblock is able to hang with him... GI Joe is so ridiculous. Did anyone ever get shot in the entire series? Loved the action figures, but the show and movie were terrible.
A motor viper gets shot as cobra commander orders then to take refuge in the growth. The crimson twins both get shot in the shoulder in serpentors war room
@@coreyfrench8129 That's about it. But no one dies, well someone actually does die but one of the Joes has the ability to perform Jedi mind tricks on souls.

Amazing how these Cobra-La warriors are essentially unbeatable until the plot calls for them to not be.
One can argue that Cobra-La had the element of surprise on their side.
Yes goddamn it! Can’t tell you how many battles I lost because a bunch of crazy guys came from the sky and from under the ice
