As you mentioned, the penBBS nib is dry and stiff and a bit of feedback. However with continued use, it smooths out. Also pressing on the nib, slightly, for 6 or 7 downward strokes, spreading the times slightly will make the nib write much better. As for the rattling of the converter,it annoys me a lot. I find if I use a converter with a metal band near the bottom will reduce the problem.
Interesting, I just got a Laban Rosa (Blue Marble) and I like it very much. The pen has a fine nib and it writes very wet with just a bit of feedback (which I like). Also there are no hard starts or skipping issues. I don't know if those fine nibs are just better made (like in my opinion the F nibs on the PenBBS pens compared to their M nibs) or if I was just lucky to get a good nib.
Oh, I was looking at one of these too. Oh, well, this might be a skip for me. I'm more excited that I ordered two pens from Stephen Just, I know what I'm getting from him and I'm very excited. Also, PENBBS, I do what Doug does, push on the nib 7x and it opens right up. I wrote a exam the other day with RO School Blue and a PENBBS 456 Vac, apart from my poor dyslexic messy child writing the vac was a dream to write with for 2.5 hours. Chels
Frustrating. Unfortunately it happens a bit too frequently. Syrah is a flowing ink from memory. I like the Greek key, but that seems to feature on a lot of Italian pens. I think you can use a jinhao nib and grind it into something good (or even better: I’m still yet to get a bad one).
I appreciate your honesty in these reviews.

Thanks Mick, great review of a stunning looking pen but the bad QC & that nib etc makes it a no go for me.👍🇦🇺
I don't have any Laban's... yet.. ; )

Is this a Chinese made pen? I have a Delike pen with that exact same resin.
