My wife and I had our first cruise ever on Mariner in Feb of 23 and we loved it. We went on Symphony in Dec and we will be going on Ovation in May. Mariner hooked us on cruising!
I got a great last minute casino deal sailing on Allure of the Seas on Black Friday weekend, 3 nights, upgraded to a balcony, and total cost was $ 90.00, port taxes and fees!! It’s my very first cruise on Royal, so thanks for sharing this video 👍🏽👍🏽!!

Can you share how much you have to spend at the casino to get these types of offers? Do you cruise often?
@@michelleehrlich5203 I would say spend what you can afford to lose when it comes to a dollar amount for gambling. It May be a good idea for you to build a bankroll, so say if you gamble $100 dollars and get say $300 from winning, then you would wanna put aside an amount to build your bank roll and decide if you wanna gamble with the rest. It takes a lot of discipline but it is possible and keeps you accountable. Hope this helps😀😀!!
Mariner of the Seas holds a special place in my heart. She was my first ever cruise ship and kickstarted my love of cruising.

We first sailed MOS when she was new in 2002. We took our kids(teens at the time ) and had a wonderful time

It’s always a good time on a Royal Caribbean cruise! My husband and I were on Oasis of the Seas last weekend as well. Did not enjoy the windy weather and rocking ship but we got lucky with a beautiful sunny day on Coco Cay Saturday. Looking forward to your Icon cruise next year!

Awesome video! I spent 3 full weeks on that cruise ship back when it was new when it was the largest cruise ship in the world. It seemed overwhelming then. I would love to sail on her again but I’ll really miss the Dragon’s Lair night club that they took away when they did the renovation in 2018. We’re booked on Icon too. Can’t wait!

I find the overall value of some of these older Royal ships to be absolutely fantastic - I recently cruised on Navigator of the Seas from Long Beach, California a few weeks back, and found it to be such a great price!
Thanks for this video! I have only done 2 cruises and both were with Disney. I'm reluctant to try other brands but Royal looks very decent!

The Mariner was our first to 10th cruises beginning 2006. I believe that at that time it was Royals largest ship. Love it.

Since you pointed out the European outlets maybe consider getting some adapters for those type of outlets if you know you need them for multiple devices
Cruise vids are the best. I’m on a transatlantic from Rome to Miami on explorer right now!! I HIGHLY recommend you get prime in the casino. I made money getting it and you get FREE drinks in the casino and multiple free cruises a year.. I just booked a free 8 day on adventure and I’m gonna book icon for free when the prime cruises get released in April

So funny you call this a “smaller” ship. Ok, I am a bit older than you, but our first cruise was on the Monarch of the Seas, which is less than half the size of the Mariner. Also been on Enchantment, Vision, Majesty and Rhapsody. The first time we went on Voyager, (same size as Mariner), we thought this thing was massive. Also have been on the Allure, which of course is bigger. Glad to watch this as we are doing a b2b on the Explorer (sister to Mariner) from Miami to Venice IT in April. But still like some small ships, as we booked a Vision trip to Bermuda next fall. Great job on the video.

Dev if RCL is your go to for cruising, who is anyone to judge that. I personally am not a fan of the cruise lines that like to charge you for every thing. Like in your video, the main dinning room should not have premium up charges and room service should be included. 7.99 plus 18% is unacceptable to me in a cruise but that’s me. I am glad you are enjoying and I look forward to the next installment.
Deployments, Hurricanes, and now cruises are why most of my electronic necessities (even my razor and toothbrush) can be charged via USB. 1 plug, 1 battery pack and I'm golden.
We just did Navigator of the Seas out of LA and it’s almost identical to this ship.

6:04, Went on Navigator of the Seas last week. Hubby needs a cpap when sleeping and the Stewart had to bring an extension cord to plug it in clear across the room.
Hey Dev great video as always! I was wondering around what time you booked the cruise, just to gauge an idea on when to book for the best deal.
Hello. I booked this cruise at the end of April however, in September the price was a bit cheaper and Royal Caribbean honored the price difference with on board credits.
We would really recommend the South Beach Cabanas. When there is only one ship at Coco Cay, unlike when you and Bianca were there, the price of the cabanas drops a lot. My wife and I rented one in October and it was well worth it.

I much prefer the smaller ships. I love the Magic and the Wonder over the Dream and Fantasy. I haven’t been on the Wish.

Don't do a cabana on Icon, they jack up the prices for any excursions on that ship! Definitely going to get it much cheaper and the same experience on a sailing like this one.

If you only drink a couple of alcoholic drinks each day, it's cheaper to get the refreshment package and pay separately for your alcoholic drinks.

Dev, question, at Chops you ordered multiple desserts. Are you able order multiples of things there? I thought it would be just one app, one salad, one entree, one dessert. Appreciate the help on this bc we have a cruise booked. 😊
Trust me you shouldn’t leave Chops still hungry. Our servers will always ask us if we want anything else in between courses. You pay extra for the specialty dining and the above and beyond service that you will get.
