Is a 2023/2024 carbon Orbea Rise Cascade link being developed?
There were some comments from a few weeks ago on FB that were vague.
Can't wait to try this on with my Push Industry Coil!!!
The video is a bit scattered. 5nm torque for preload kit and 5nm for the pinch bolt, right? The green paste you put on the axle ends - it's grease, right? I think having an explode diagram for installation would be great besides this video
I just installed a WRP yoke, and just got my Cascade link delivered. I figure it might be more conducive to pedal strikes, so I ordered 10mm shorter 5Dev cranks. Hopefully the Cascade will complement the WRP.
P.S.
It would have been nice to order Cascade in a close match color of Kashima for those of us who run Fox Factory. The WRP has that option.
Yep, would also LOVE the link in kashima color ;-)
Whats The wrp yoke ? Do you have a link 😊
Unfortunately not currently available in your shop in the EU.
Is there a rough percentage of PSI increase needed for link? Link delivered yesterday, soo stoked!
hello,i just received my cascade orbea link and install it as this video. But i found it difficult to install shock extender(the yoke) with cascade link when the washer put on it's place。Seems like the washer should not stand between extender and the link。With no choice,i had to install extender first, and then install link to axle。
Hello Cascade Components - is there any test/review available on how exactly the new link will adjust the Rise? Would be great to hear some practical feedback. Any chance that it may solve the typical creaking issue and would it help stiffening up a bit the relatively flexible rear triangle?
Being a potential EU buyer - I am also waiting any news on the EU availability to! ;-)
It's just making its way out to people right now so impressions should start popping up soon. All I'll say is the link dramatically improves how the bike descends. As for the creaking, the key to that is the preload kit. Bolting across from one link to the other prevents the small amount of movement that can cause creaking and the links moving on the pivot spline.
I just installed mine and feel the rear end is much improved, alot less lateral flex than the original links. I'm also expecting the preload keeps the bike quiet, but still imagine that pivot will need regular servicing as crap gets in the bearings.
but how do you remove the bearings for service once you install the preload spacer?
The either using a bearing puller or sticking a punch through from one side and tapping on the ID of the bearing on the other side. The spacer isn't tightly constrained radially when the pivot axle is not installed.
Hi. Why did we need this preload spacer? The bearings sits at its stop point also without the spacer!? Did the preload bolt have so much strength?
Does it fit with a 2023 Alloy Rise? I would buy it Instant if it does.
It is compatible with the 2023, however you'll want to double check that it has the three piece link. In 2023 Orbea switched to a two piece link where the pivot axle is bonded into one half of the link. While the three piece link is shown in the use manual for 2023 and 2024 alloy frames, it's also listed as obsolete.
@@CascadeComponents If the axel is available from Orbea could it be purchased separately to use your link on a 2023 carbon? I need this link for my 2023 M10! Sounds like it will make the bike perfect!
Is this coming to your shop in EU??
It IS! Only "when" is the question.
Does this fit the new 2024 rise?
A post from CC in a Rise owners FB group indicates it will fit 2023 Alloy frames (not carbon at this time)
£350 for this ? No chance
Parts cost money...
@@CascadeComponentsexplain why then people had to use a Dremel and a grinder on these due to clearance issues with chain stay eh ? You offers no service to these people?
@@1spiders1 The people who have issues with it have been offered an exchange.
1:05 why did you pull out these bearings!?
To install the bearing spacer that comes with the preload kit.
@@CascadeComponents what is the bearing spacer, what does it look like? Is it possible that it's missing my preload kit? Is there a official installation guide for the orbea rise?
@@Philipp0204 It looks like a black anodized aluminum tube. Approximately 26mm long.
Hi just received my link but without any preload Kit. Is it a separate purchase item?
@@TheDonMakkYes the preload kit is a separate item that must be purchased as well.
