Possession doesn't but lack of the very basic needs like clean water, community healthcare ,decent schools, electricity 24/7 does make a country poor,Burundi gov should do better
I was lucky enough to travel the world. Currently, I'm in calgary Alberta Canada, there's " reserves " where people don't have clean water, no electricity, no hospitals ... in the USA in LA , the rate of homeless, the rate of people without health coverage is insane....in South africa is " the richest country in Africa ". Millions of people lack all the above....that's why ANC got voted out....I went to university in montreal, and I finished with 50.000 dollar loan. In Burundi, you can start from grade 1 to university for free or less than 1000 dollars for your entire education. We have challenges. Yes, so is everywhere in the world. We have to appreciate more what God gave us as a nation...the Grace isn't always Green on the other side. GOD BLESS YOU
@@kamengewell said !! When I visited Burundi, I was amazed of how beautiful the country is !! The landscapes is crazyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! The people were very humble and grateful, it did something to my little heart 🥹 !

Ikr , Every time I’m back home and I be wanting to come back to the USA because one thing , we get stares as if we are foreigners, we have to adjust so much to fit in. But once I’m back in USA , I want to go back there haha.
It’s weird feeling really. Traveling makes you experience some things you never knew you needed, at the same time you miss some things back home. Then again the moment you settle down back home you begin to miss things you can or can’t experience when you’re away.
How can we use Europeans and American indices to ascertain a poor country? Are Burudians starving wit6no food , water or shelter? Are they living in IDP camps? We Africans should all this mental slavery system and believe in ourselves to improve on what we have. People are there eating organ foods and they say they are the poorest.
Yes many Burundians (at least 85%) lack enough food, water, electricity, transportation and they are uneducated. Many civil wars, tribalism and unproductive cultural beliefs. Lack of education is the plague.
Many civil wars, tribalism and unproductive cultural beliefs are at the root of this terrifying poverty. I am a Burundian saying this. Not sugarcoating. Lack of education caused by civil wars ( teachers killed in the wars of 1991 till 2006, then in 2015, educated Hutu Burundians killed in 1972 in a genocide, etc...) Those who were not killed fled the country with no desire to come back. Many Burundians know they are uneducated or have had partial education and because they know this, they have built up a few defenses within themselves to mask this issue and it just doesn't help.
If people can actually eat. Many Burundian struggle to have food. Having enough good food to eat is wealth. Having a decent place to live with electricity, running water and a good transportation system is wealth. 90% of Burundians don't have that. I am Burundian.

@@annemarientagahoraho1432 if you live in a land like that and say you struggle to have good and healthy food then you prolly don't deserve it. There's so much natural fruits and veggies growing everywhere and the land is so fertile you can farrn in your own backyard. Having grown up in a village myself I know everyone owns land and only the lazy fools struggle and spend their entire life complaining. The only reasonable excuse to struggling to find food in such a land so fertile is war, and the last time Birundi had real civil unrest was in 1993 to 2005. That being said you're either very dumb or lying to be Burundianfertile and I say dumb becaause you prolly think McDonald's and mortgages are what constitute a good life

Now our Country became a playground for all UA-cam channel beginners with a ridiculous Title" Brdi the poorest country" ?? If you use another tittle you think you won't get viewers ? We are Not happy with that.
UA-camrs are not to blame. Let's get rid of corruption, greed, tribalism, some outdated and ridiculous cultural norms and work hard for the education of our people. Lets get rid of past hurts because of civil wars ( we have become unfeeling, hardened to almost inhuman and not compassionate at all toward fellow Burundians let alone fellow man. A county like Yemen is considered richer than Burundi simply because of its GDP is nearly 7 times that of Burundi , but really what is wealth?
It is the world 'bank'sters that need to be blamed. You must play their card to be recognised.
