Went to that Train Gap a few weeks ago. It's 1000x gnarlier than any video will show you. Had been dreaming of hitting it for about 3 years. But ended up backing out. Absolutely gutted and felt like I let myself down. But it had rained overnight, I'm still coming back from a severe wrist injury and I was actually on the way down to Virgin, Utah for some freeriding after... so the risk just wasn't worth the reward at the time. However, I WILL be back!!
Good to see Jaxon back for the rides. Love your videos. The extra camera angles and editing are great. Thanks for taking us for the ride and THAT GAP!!!
Once you've finished INTO THE GNAR you should do some intermediate skills stuff for us mere mortals. Like how to not get your wheel hung up and go OTB on a compression coming out of a steep rock section. Yes I may have done that and smashed my collarbone a few months ago... so I'm keen to improve my base skills
and once you finish the intermediate skills stuff maybe some beginner stuff like how to inspect features before you attempt them to make sure they're functionally sound and won't fall apart!
yeah that happened to me one time and after i realized i had my fork compression wide open, i think you really need to stiffen the comression up if you are going to be encountering those big g-outs on the trail.
Le railway gap bordel!!!! Ça paraît infranchissable en vidéo!! Et pourtant la gopro minimise les obstacles donc c'est dire!! Chapeau et joli taf sur la vidéo comme d'hab' ✌
Thank you for taking the time to teach, and explain. The explanation about using the front brake on those decents really helped me, as I have used the back break on some minor ones and thought it would be fine, but not. Really appreciated the time you take to explain. Love your accent, ofcourse different for me as an American, but I enjoy watching, and listening. Till next time sir....
Yoann, I've subscribed to so many mtb channels, but dude, omg, please do not stop producing this content ! Absolutely awesome videos & trails. I can only aspire to ride at your level one day! Thank you
One of the highlights of the week receiving notification for next episode of into the gnar. Can’t wait to ride some of these in Sep on our annual visit
Even on the video.. seeing this gap while you walked at it first, I had this funny feeling in my tummy. That rock wall in front of the landing! 😵 Damn! Would love to try it tho! 😅
so impressive johann ! you found lines in my trail that i never saw. and how you control your bike is dope. haha and that last bridge isnt old jank! i am proud of that bridge to rockslab!
another incredible episode. Good to see Jaxon is back. I hope you get well soon. Maybe it would be cool to show us full runs of the trail. Well when you are well again. 🤟
Jakson!!!!! I changed the diaper on the couch when I watched the gap jump. I ride a little bit more thoughtfully in terms or seeing the lines I did not see before after watching your videos
That was so awesome!! Thanks for sharing the riding tips along the way. The tracks jump had my HR maxed out. Was hoping your dog wasn't going for it! :)
Your videos are awesome and really unique. I really like how you explain your line choice and totally nail it afterwards. :D Maybe you can add a full run in one go as an extra?
subbed, this video was rad. I rode this trail last year and the sky opened up on me about 3/4 the way down into torrential downpour, shit eating did happen a bit all in good fun. Train gap was a big nope for me but really cool to see regardless. Props to ya .
Yoann riding the trail: "Wroooooooaaaam wroooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaam!!!" Me: I´m glad that finally somebody´s speaking out what I´m thinking when I´m riding my bike^^
Love this series so much, and I hate that you're hurt now. In the last couple episodes, you sprinkled in more skill advice (like how to brake down slabs). When you recover and get back the NYAAAR, I hope you continue to integrate skill building tips as well. Also, did you say that gap is 15 or 50 meters? It's hard to tell on gopro what it is, but it's freaking mental! Totally awesome!
Just subscribed the other day, you get me stoked to ride all the time! You should head over to Vancouver Island and try some of the gnarlier runs at Hartland Bike Park and Mt Prevost!!!
@@hobbes8737 Prevost is a well-known training grounds for pro DH racers. amazing riding amigo. please tell me you got dropped off at the trailhead - the climb up is brutal and you having that much energy after the climb is about as impressive as your descending skilz.
Waaaah la hauteur du gap... Véner ! Ah au fait sur les 2 lignes que tu as testées tu pourrais mettre les vidéos l'une à côté de l'autre au montage pour voir laquelle est la plus rapide
Sweet! Just rode the trail yesterday with Matt Beer.
Beer is so good.
me: I think I could ride this trail, there's nothing too sketchy here
Yoann: rides the railway gap
me: I might have overestimated my skills a tiny bit
I thought the exact same thing lol

You are such a good guide/teacher. We can learn such a lot. Thank you for the lesson. The end is just crazy. Especially because you were alone...
Jackson is such a good boy!!! He's looks like he gets so much love from you which is awesome! BTW You are CRAZY Yoann, that railway jump was insane!
Le railway gap bordel!!!! Ça paraît infranchissable en vidéo!! Et pourtant la gopro minimise les obstacles donc c'est dire!! Chapeau et joli taf sur la vidéo comme d'hab' ✌
This video series is absolutely top drawer!! Always stoked when a new video pops up. Learning lots always leave with some major stoke. Keep it up!!
My 8 year old daughter and I love watching your videos, she is super stoked for riding some gnar! Keep up the great work!
Nothing else on UA-cam is worth watching. This series is so entertaining! Keep shredding!
I like how this is presented as a “ how to” when it’s really a “how I do”. Amazing rider.

Fantastic episode. Seems like one of the best trails in the world!
Haha Thx bud I agree But I did build the trail so I'm biased I suppose
best MTB chanal on UA-cam!!!
Lol that last jump made my skin crawl just watching. The price for missing is doom.
omg, can't like this enough. top job!
i love how adding superlative emphasis on surfer lingo is actual technical terminology to this guy.
Please tell that Jackson didn’t do the train gap as well 😜
Dude your insane ! ....but I love it 👍
Awesome! Like your work.

Best episode yet
This content is so good, I hit the subscribe button but I was already subscribed.
It would be amazing if we saw you ride one of these gnarly trails without stopping whilst gassing it
Trespasser full run: m.pinkbike.com/video/491151/
Maybe once in a while (like once a month) feature a video that is a non-instructional, full out, gnarly run.
„If you case that Jump...Bad juju“😂
another banger , with a happy ending ;-)
Just subscribed the other day, you get me stoked to ride all the time!
You should head over to Vancouver Island and try some of the gnarlier runs at Hartland Bike Park and Mt Prevost!!!
Haha you're joking right ? I've ridden all through there and it's a joke . maybe all the good stuff is a secret ?

Trail looks siiiiick luv
Who builds all these amazing trails? Where I come from, most of the built Mountainbike Trails are like 3 meters wide flowtrails...
What pouch are you using to hold your tire pressure gauge, tube and tire pump?
