WE LEAVE PERTH HEADING FOR ALBANY
WE TAKE THE LONG WAY THROUGH THE WHEATBELT TOWNS ON THE BACK ROADS.
WE STOP AT FRIENDS IN BAKERS HILLS FOR A BBQ AND CATCH UP
WE LEAVE THE NEXT MORNING TO GO TO YENYENNING LAKES FOR A OVERNIGHTER.
ITS VERY WINDY AND COLD.
WE TAKE ALL THE DIRT ROADS TO TEST OUT THE NEW VAN.
I TRY TO USE THE DRONE BUT FORGET TO SAVE THE FOOTAGE...
WE MAKE OUR WAY TO THE DOG CEMETRY IN CORRIGIN TO READ THE HISTROY OF THE DOG IN A UTE.
NIK MAKES ME PULL OVER IN A HURRY FOR A DONUT VAN SHE SPOTS IN KONDININ...
HOW SHE SEEN IT GOD ONLY KNOWS...
WE END UP IN HYDEN TO GO WALK THROUGH THE TOWN BEFORE WE HIT WAVE ROCK.
AT WAVE ROCK WE WAIT IN LINE TO GET THE FAMOUS SHOT .
BUT CAMERA HAPPY TOURIST HAVE OTHER IDEAS.
WE WALK THE EDGE OF THE ROCK TO HIPPOS YARN TO FIND THE SAME PEOPLE WITH THEIR CAMERAS LOL.
WE LEAVE WAVE ROCK FOR AN OVER NIGHT FREE CAMP AT KULIN.
THIS PLACE WAS SO WELL SET UP FOR THE TRAVELLERS 72 HRS FREE GREAT PLAYGROUNDS FOR THE KIDS A PUB FOR MUM AND DAD JUST ACROSS THE ROAD.
HOT SHOWERS AND FLUSHING TOILETS AND WATER TO TOP UP YOUR TANKS.. THANK KULIN WHAT A GREAT PLACE .
WE HAVE A MEAL AT THE PUB AND HIT THE SACK FOR THE NIGHT.
NEXT MORNING WE FILL UP OUR TANKS AND WATER BLADDER THEN HIT THE ROAD FOR DUMBLEYUNG.
ANOTHER FREE CAMP WHERE WE WALK THE TOWN TO EXPLORE THE HISTROY OF THE LAND AND WATER SPEED RECORD OF THE BLUE-BIRD IN 1964.
THE NEXT MORNING WE TRANFER THE WATER FROM THE BLADDER TO VAN AND TIME HOW LONG IT TAKES.
THEN WE HEAD FOR THE LAKE TO SEE WHERE THE SPEED RECORDS WERE BROKEN.
THE DRIVE THE 10KM IN TO FIND THERE IS NOWHERE TO TURN AROUND AND FACE THE FACT WE MIGHT HAVE TO REVERSE THE WHOLE WAY BACK OUT.
VERY NEVER RACKING TO SAY THE LEAST.
I GET THE DRONE UP FOR AND FLIGHT TO CAPTURE THE LAKE BEFORE HEADING OFF.
SO, SIT BACK AND WATCH US MAKE MISTAKES, REVERSE OUT OF TROUBLE AND FLY THE DRONE FOR THE FIRST TIME .

Yay Nik, you're driving and looking good! Great video guys! I enjoyed seeing your daily routines with some good and some challenging moments (that's life). Thanks for showing the towns you pass through. Most channels usually skip showing them and only show the end destinations, which is great, but its also about the journey. Australia is so much more than just popular/tourist spots, its also about the communities past and present. It's good to know how people earn their crust in remote areas too. Dave, well done on the drone, you'll only get better from here. Nik, I'm right behind you on your quest to find a bakery where ever you go, there's nothing like a good pastry review.

All that reversing ya did was worth it for me For ya lovely lake Drone footage 👍 Shoot wave Rock sure looks busy LoL Bloody tourists 🤪🤪😳
They were taking a million pictures of them selves 😆🤣
Just had to wait but in the end I just said to Nik just start taking what we need we can edit them out 😆

We always enjoy your eps. That drone footage cut down to some great moments, definitely worth the upgrade for improvement in photo quality. Good call keeping the car out of the soft stuff for the reversing these tips hopefully will stay onboard with me for our trips when we go. Well done guys great video great information from area ... yes always stressful when going out tracks havnt been before but always worth it . Get that great pix or video . Hey Dave I know new to drone world. You know to take stress out a bit ..you can hit the home bottom and drone will return to where you taken off from.. always good if you think you're lost where you are ... it always return home. Nice work turning around! You’ve probably got the drone worked out now but you can just lower it to your hand, might save the bonnet a few scratches 👍

But last time I did that it was a disaster it hit my fingers then my face 🤣

Easy way to land it in your hand is to pull the lever to get it to lower with your hand directly underneath palm open, it will sense it and go back up… just keep pulling the lever to to lower (don’t let it go when it goes up) and it will then relower and land on your hand and turn off. 👍
