As i show this stuff to my old school buddies from back in the day it's crazy how much things have changed and made a dangerous job that much safer !!! Thanks for all the hard work guys !!!!
I find the use of Holmes 440 as the designation for a wheel lift to be sacrilege. The Holmes 440 was THE wrecker body for decades. Of course, Holmes made plenty of other sizes and styles also. I think that the 440 was responsible for more successful recovery jobs over the years than could ever be documented. As I write this, I'm reminded of bringing a '66 Mustang out of a canal diversion box. Almost vertical extraction up the narrow opening. Would have liked to pummel the punks who stole it and did such a chicken caca deed.
Does Miller plan on switching to a hex-pin system with bronze bushings? The hex pin system on the cross-bar can be tightened by the operator when needed instead of being replaced. Detroit Wrecker are the only ones that I've found doing it.
Those are wheel dolly to attach to the rear wheels of the towed vehicle. Used in a case where the towed vehicle cannot roll on road as in a case where the bearings failed or tire damage, etc
@@dionkraft6782 or for use when dragging the vehicle tires on the ground will destroy the trans ot transfer case. awd, full-time 4x4, rear wheel with front tow.
I love watching repo tow truck videos. These products are awesome
