I know you’re humble & didn’t really want to set up a patronage, but people are very generous & still send you gifts. Perhaps you should look at setting up an Amazon wish list. They do it in the states, should be able to set up here. That way you can list items that you would like & use, but perhaps can’t justify purchasing. People can buy something for you & have it sent straight to you. Just a thought!
I think part of it is that I can buy myself all the small stuff, and I do, you guys help me to do that! It's the big stuff I struggle with because I just can't put the money away for it, or I divert the funds elsewhere and I don't want you guys buying big stuff! I appreciate each and every view you guys give and how it adds to my income to be able to redo my gardens and all that kind of thing!
I can do that, a lot of this stuff I'll use in my daily life, so you'll see the spatulas and all that kind of thing then, but I can definitely do a follow up on some of the more obscure items, I'm curious how the tea pot warmers are going to go! and I haven't checked the solar garden lights yet.
Hey Nyssa, this haul was so much fun to watch! I told my husband I bought some stuff on Temu My husband has OCD really bad and hates clutter and junk. When my order came in he watched closely as I opened the bag. He really liked that everything was in its own bags. He was like oh now I like that, and that’s pretty cool. He ask how much some of the items were and said ok you did well. Then a big bag of Temu shows up that he ordered. Of course it was all outside stuff he liked. He purchased a NIIMBOT label maker that prints labels or whatever you need. Amazing! That was well worth what we spent. He grows roses like 300 or so and he used it for name plates. Love it! TFS!!!❤
Oooh, neat, I'll have to check out the label printers! hehe, I tried to buy stuff that was actually purposeful, it would be easy to buy stuff for the sake of it! :D
I would be reaply keen to see if they had other preserving/harvest stuff. You know, the stuff that all the US guys can pick up cheap and we can never find!
@@sashasmith7796 I have a lovely ceramic one with a spoon that I bought for sugar, but unfortunately lol, in my kitchen space, that just attracted ants, have to have the sugar in a sealed jar here! :D
If you need to buy kitchen scissors again, I would definitely recommend Chicago Cutlery. I've had mine for 20+ years and it's still going strong. The handles separate for easy cleaning and the back of them have a bottle opener and a flat screwdriver. They are strong enough to cut through smaller bones like chicken, not the leg bones but pretty much everything else.
Oooh, thank you! I will check them out! I had a pair that did the split in half thing and they broke recently, they were quite old, hence grabbing these ones, but they definitely won't be bone cutting, just general kitchen use.
Nyssa, I kept track for ya. You want to let them know that the spoon was broken and the julienne slicer's teeth are all bent. You only mentioned the spoon. Good haul!!!
I'm not generally one to go seeking replacements etc hehe, and they were 'free' items anyway, so I wouldn't go looking for replacements! :D. I think it was pretty good that those two were the only items in there that had any damage/weren't suitable!

@@dianecurtis8133 heh, me too, I do love hearing them and the geese and the Guinea fowl, even the dogs to a degree, I can hear the pigs a lot too though I don’t think that comes through on videos much, it’s all just the sounds of our lives!

Thankyou!. I'm glad you found it helpful, I was unsure to start with as well, but a lot of the stuff has worked so well for me, I'm using all the wooden utensils and the spatulas and the teapot warmers are awesome!
I did a bit of a search on here for other people doing the same sort of thing to get an idea, but most of them didn't have stuff I'd use, it was clothing, or cleaning or organising lol, I wanted kitchen stuff! :D
I went and watched a bunch before I said yes to doing the video, just to see how everyone was doing it and if I felt comfortable, and I found a lot of stuff that I'd never ever use and didn't really feel relevant to the channel showing it either hehe, so I decided to do it so I could get stuff I would actually use in every video afterwards hehe.

That one spoon with the broken handle may not be a lost cause - you could use it in a container, I've shortened so many cheap spoons from the op-shop to be used as dedicated scoops (saves on the washing up as it lives in with the spice, etc!)! Lots of goodies!
True! Being shorter it would fit better in a jar! I’ll just sand the top smooth heh I do love leaving spoons/scoops in jars, it makes it so much quicker sometimes!
We have the option of coins as well, a $1 or $2 coin, but I never have coins on me either lol, so you can buy a little token that is the same shape as a $2 coin, but they seem to go missing off my keyring all the time too! :D
One of those packages was paid for and ordered and one was the sponsored package, they seemed very similar to me, I didn't notice too much deviation in the style of packaging, but its always possible :)
I’ve order a couple of times twice the packaging was awful…it was packed in plastic bags and taped all up…and was all squished up when I got it…and many of the items were squished in their packaging..one or two items damaged…the last time the contents were in a box and was packaged much better …maybe it depends on their distribution center.
@@Ladythyme I’d imagine it depends on the staff member too, and the handling by the company delivering as well etc! I was pretty happy with the packaging, that one spoon was a very fragile item, and the peeler looked like it was damaged in manufacture not transport. Everything else seemed ok. For the cost of the items and the free shipping, it was a tolerable trade off.
Wow, that was a great haul!!! So happy for you! I've ordered several things from Temu in the past and I've loved everything I've gotten. I ordered several things for my grandchildren for Christmas and it was all a big hit! Can't wait to see you using all of your new kitchen equipment!
@@merinzz possibly! But my mother was a seamstress, so I was in amongst a lot of these things as a child hehe, she had a children’s clothing boutique at one point :)

I wasn't sure either about ordering, but decided to bite the bullet and order the extra stuff I wanted when I was going to be getting the free package, I'm pretty happy with everything! It definitely felt like I got a decent amount for the money and was nice and quick :D
I love Temu. Purchased everything from household to gifts. Temu quickly credits items damaged or if something is missing from the shipment. I have had no issues with them. The only complaint that I have is that everything is so cute! Hard to stick to my budget. LOL!
Hello nice little temu haul those silicone spatulas work really good for mixing an the ends dont fall off into anything.... Or when washing.... 😂❤ Temu sells solar fans an lights u should look into theyr pretty cheap in price. U put the panel on ur roof in the sun an the fans go when ut cookn.... Same witht the lights ive had one they work really good ❤
Really enjoyed the video! I haven't tried Temu yet, but I definitely will give them a go. Your recommendation means more than watching others on social media I don't follow. :)
You are correct…pictures are deceiving and their descriptions leave much to be desired. Some of what I got was better than expected…others well I kinda felt taken but then I thought about the pricing and resolved that you get what you pay for. It is fun opening everything since it’s like a big grab bag! Especially the boxes since not much is labeled…just brown boxes
Definitely, there's that trade off there, you are getting products cheaper, so to a degree you expect there to be some variables, other than the wooden spoons (which I will still use, just in different methods than I had intended) I'm pretty happy with everything, I don't feel like I was ripped off (especially seeing as half my stuff was free for doing this video lol) but there was some that didn't seem to match what I thought I was looking at :)
Kmart has them good price too! I need to do a kmart online order for the kids new keyboards etc for their computers, so I'll tack it on there hehe. Wish I had of thought about it earlier though.
If you end up getting clothes through TEMU be extra careful to check the measurements. I have ordered through another similar site and have to order their 5X for my teenage son who wears at most an XL in Canadian sizing! It is so easy to get lost in these sites but they have sales too so keep an eye out, put things in your cart/wishlist, then strike when the iron is hot 🤣. PS - love the panda’s expression!
Yes, I’ve experienced that before, the sizing difference! It’s probably not something I’d generally buy, though they do have some nice looking jackets at the moment! But the little kitchen bits and pieces appeal, very similar quality to Kmart and probably made in the same places heh. Sonnet adores the panda lol
Hey Nyssa🥰 Awww Sonnet is going to love the gorgeous panda 🐼 I want to get the pastry mat, it looks great! And those sprouting trays look awesome for sprouting mung beans, I go through heaps of bean shoots. That was a fun video🤩 Have a great week 🌻🥰🌻
The pastry mat is a good texture, it has that slightly tacky feel to it to stick to the bench and its a good size, it'll be great to have both my mats on the bench at times! I will update on the sprouting trays but I reckon they'll be perfect, they're a good size, and it's obvious what they are which helps the kids not repurpose them on me!
Lol, I didn't really let them, if I don't get another video out of it I'm not too worried, so I tried to put everything they asked for in there, but I didn't wait for approval on it, because I'm not willing to alter my video style as such! I just gave them 24 hours of access to it before putting it live :)
@@OurSmallFootprint ha ha love it - i was happy for them to offer a few bits of feedback as I had scheduled it ready to go but yeah there was a lot of 'could you do this or that' lol

Great video :) we have gotten one Temu order with another due to arrive today. I have been looking at those diamond art ones - have a few in my cart ready to order - did your daughter like it?
She hasn't had a go with it yet, I think I need to get one of those little sorting boxes to put the diamonds in, but she also needs desk space with decent lighting to give it ago as well, so we're working on a craft space for them that doesn't have a computer on it lol.
I have been ordering from Temu for awhile now. I have gotten a mixture of things from it. I am waiting on an order to come in now lol You got some good things Nessa. I hope you like them.
I hadn't ordered before, it had been mentioned, but I had hesitated, but once I put the free order in, I thought, why not, I'll put a paid one in too and we'll see what we get!
@@rhondaboggs5539 I can imagine! hehe, I am pretty good about things like this, I scroll and add to cart, but rarely check out lol, window shopping for the win!
I had heard of it and it had been mentioned in the comments on here, but I hadn't taken the leap to ordering, so I decided I would when I did the free package heh
The paid order (with the teapot warmers etc) I placed on the 23rd of May, I got tracking on the 24th, and it was avail at the post office on the 30th. :)
I just cant decide about temu. I cant find any good, reliable sources about their ethicability and sustainability of the products. already just seeing all the plastic on plastic on plastic im turned off temu, ill never understand why every little product has to be in its own bag but its something every company seems to do (unless youre buying from like B Corp certified companies, eco companies etc.) so it seems unavoidable shopping online. im curious about the actual quality of the products too, of course everything looks shiny and new when you first get it but id love to know how those things actually hold up after being used every day.
I dislike that everything is in its own plastic (though I understand it would be for picking orders purposes i reckon) as well, but I do like that it all comes in one shipment, like when I order from Amazon the amount of packages I get from one order even if I say to hold till its all ready! I will say, huge huge vote for the teapot warmers, they are absolutely awesome, my tea stays piping hot for hours over a tiny little tealight candle! The spatulas have been holding up really well so far as well! The fairy lights have been up and on since we got them and are working really well too, but I'll update on other stuff as I use them :D
I get the allure, and i get that this was an out of the blue offer, and sweet that you were able to do a scratch and sniff of their prodcts/shipping, etc. Me personally, i felt it was very dollar shop quality and i have a thing about the bazillion tonnes of packaging... 🤷♀️ i'm also a bit wary of massed produced china stuff... toxins and chemicals... 🤔 again, awesome that you were offered a test run on some of their stuff with not too much soul-selling.. 😉😂 It's a no for me. 🥴
It is definitely a ‘cheapie store’ kinda vibe :). But some of the items will be super useful for me and I was glad to give them a go :D. Unfortunately, dollar store esque items and pricing is my budget a lot of the time lol, as much as I’d love to support local and fair trade etc, if I did so, I wouldn’t have much heh :)
@@OurSmallFootprint We have these two stores that are similar to a dollar shop (or in our case Euro) I suppose and a lot of people always think that everything they sell is made in China, when in reality, it's not. Around 75% of their things are made in some European country. I even found sth from New Zealand the other day. Some things are obviously not the best quality but most are great and have lasted me for years.

The kids love little anime/character stuff so I'm going to have a look if any of that is avail for birthday/christmas!
An Elastic pull is called a bodkin. Am enjoying your video!
I remembered the name when I was editing hehe, too many things flicking through my head at the time of trying to describe everything hehe.
@@OurSmallFootprint I think it’s a really archaic word!
@@merinzz possibly! But my mother was a seamstress, so I was in amongst a lot of these things as a child hehe, she had a children’s clothing boutique at one point :)
Loved those same products too .Will attempt to order through link
I'm not sure how it all works, but I'm pretty sure you get discounts if you use the code which is neat regardless :D
Love videos like this! It’s always fun and interesting to see what you get. I get a lot of good ideas and see things I wouldn’t of thought of! Thank you! Would love to see more!
It's kinda fun isn't it hehe, to see someone opening up random stuff and get inspiration on what to look for!
Loved this video Nyssa.. you got so much stuff.. I have been thinking about looking at TEMU, you have convinced me.. 💐
I wasn't sure either about ordering, but decided to bite the bullet and order the extra stuff I wanted when I was going to be getting the free package, I'm pretty happy with everything! It definitely felt like I got a decent amount for the money and was nice and quick :D
I enjoyed this video twist..of course I try to watch all of your videos 😊 I would definitely watch more Temu hauls!
It was a fun little sidestep :D
Looks great. Do bear in mind that the tablespoon measure on your measuring spoon set is only 15ml, not the Australian standard 20ml.
I don’t generally use tablespoons in cases where it matters, but yes, something to remember!
I love Temu. Purchased everything from household to gifts. Temu quickly credits items damaged or if something is missing from the shipment. I have had no issues with them. The only complaint that I have is that everything is so cute! Hard to stick to my budget. LOL!
Definitely that, as you scroll and add more and more and then have to go back and cull lol :D
Same witht the lights ive had one they work really good ❤
I go to Aldi's too but it cost .25 cents a quarter . An I've never seen an Aldi key for the carts❤😂. That is kewl.
I love that the spatulas are all one piece hehe! I'll have to check out their solar stuff! Thankyou :D
Thanks for showing us
It was a neat chance to check stuff out and then share :)
Great haul.I hope you enjoy all the stuff.Adorable 🐼
Sonnet has not put the panda down since I gave it to her lol :D
Really enjoyed the video! I haven't tried Temu yet, but I definitely will give them a go. Your recommendation means more than watching others on social media I don't follow. :)
Heh, yeah, I watched a few videos before I decided whether I was comfortable doing my own and a lot of the stuff was completely irrelevant to me!
I got the kids cloths and so far they have all been really nice.
I haven't tried clothes, but I did notice some jackets etc which looked good!
Reject shop sell tea light candles and usually are cheap, great haul Nyssa 😊
Hey Nyssa🥰
Awww Sonnet is going to love the gorgeous panda 🐼
I want to get the pastry mat, it looks great! And those sprouting trays look awesome for sprouting mung beans, I go through heaps of bean shoots. That was a fun video🤩
Have a great week 🌻🥰🌻
The pastry mat is a good texture, it has that slightly tacky feel to it to stick to the bench and its a good size, it'll be great to have both my mats on the bench at times!
I will update on the sprouting trays but I reckon they'll be perfect, they're a good size, and it's obvious what they are which helps the kids not repurpose them on me!
how fun, really enjoyed your haul xox
Pretty exciting to open it all up hehe :D
@@OurSmallFootprint i had to pause a few times to get the description of quite a few things you got to order for myself haha
I've just done my haul with Temu - oh the editing back and forth was so draining LOL all the things they asked for ha ha - you did great
Lol, I didn't really let them, if I don't get another video out of it I'm not too worried, so I tried to put everything they asked for in there, but I didn't wait for approval on it, because I'm not willing to alter my video style as such! I just gave them 24 hours of access to it before putting it live :)
@@OurSmallFootprint ha ha love it - i was happy for them to offer a few bits of feedback as I had scheduled it ready to go but yeah there was a lot of 'could you do this or that' lol
@@FrugalFunMum heh, I sent it before it was live and let them know I was gonna release it but didn’t hear back from them before I did.
Nice Temu haul. I love the tea pot holders. Definitely need that to keep my coffee warm. They have interesting products. Thanks for sharing.
I always forget to finish my tea! and in winter it sits on my desk and goes cold, I hope these work well! I have to get some tea light candles to try them out lol, haven't yet!
I love all the kitchen stuff but my kids keep telling me I have too many kitchen gadgets 😀 I’ll enjoy watching you use them.
hehe, I try really hard to only accumulate the things I will actively use! But I can get a bit carried away :D
Very interesting Nyssa. I saw some great things (10 in fact) that would be handy in my kitchen. Thanks
If there's anything specific I didn't link let me know, they gave me the links for all the products lol, I just didn't think they all needed to be in the description box! heh.
So many new things to use though, I love new kitchen gear hehe.
Good job on Temu
Always love a good kitchen tool hehe.
Great vid!
Thank you :D
Those earphones are awesome for the price i bought a couple pairs from catch at the beginning of the pandemic and they still going great 👍
Darryl seems to be enjoying them! I'll have to grab some for Surreal as well.
I have been ordering from Temu for awhile now. I have gotten a mixture of things from it. I am waiting on an order to come in now lol
You got some good things Nessa. I hope you like them.
I hadn't ordered before, it had been mentioned, but I had hesitated, but once I put the free order in, I thought, why not, I'll put a paid one in too and we'll see what we get!
@@OurSmallFootprint my three daughters orders from Temu all the time. My baby girl said, Mom it's very addictive lol
@@rhondaboggs5539 I can imagine! hehe, I am pretty good about things like this, I scroll and add to cart, but rarely check out lol, window shopping for the win!
Love your vlogs ❤ ♥️🤗🙏
Thank you Annmarie :D
I find the silicone mitts don't work very well when holding something for longer than a half a minute as they just heat through.
I actually burnt myself last night using one to lift a lid off the pot, because it tilted the lid so it rested against my forearm :s
Hugs and Love. From a Cajun Lady and Family
Thank you! :D and right back at you all :D
i love temu im buying clothes and kitchen stuff
I had heard of it and it had been mentioned in the comments on here, but I hadn't taken the leap to ordering, so I decided I would when I did the free package heh
🎉 I love temu and I love your videos
Thank you :)
Temu should be very pleased with your presentation; well done, Nyssa.
Thank you Olivia :)
How long did it take you to receive your order after you placed it?
The paid order (with the teapot warmers etc) I placed on the 23rd of May, I got tracking on the 24th, and it was avail at the post office on the 30th. :)
I like Temu.
I'll definitely be checking them out when I'm hunting for stuff again! As much as I love to buy local etc, sometimes cost outweighs unfortunately!
again, awesome that you were offered a test run on some of their stuff with not too much soul-selling.. 😉😂
It's a no for me.
@@EmmaHope88 a lot of the stuff is the same as the branded stuff without the branding too! :)
I am a youtube creator and would love to work with Temu....I didn't see an email address to contact you through...
it should be on my 'about' :). oursmallfootprint gmail com :)
I think you got some great stuff!! I haven't ordered from them yet but I've been seeing promotional hauls since around Christmas. I loved that little pot with the teaspoon for like salt or such!! Absolutely adorable!
I'm happy with it all! I have been using the spatulas and the teapot warmer is absolutely awesome!
