This is a work of absolute genius by one of the greatest composers that has ever lived, CM von Weber. A very good interpretation, and superb choral - orchestral balance. The soloists also blended very well. Excellent!
I sang this 50 years ago in college. When we performed it, I had to mouth the words at points because the beauty was so incredible that I was going to burst into tears several times!
Great and beautiful music. It is so amazing that makes me feel in heaven. But it is so sad to know that this extraordinary video has so many visits and likes while horrible garbages of noise and decadence have millions of visits. This is a clear example of how twisted the world actually is nowadays. Thanks a lot for uploading this treasure of the most beautiful music ever created.
+edsedlavzelaznog I sang the bass part of this wonderful mass as a chorister with my local choir, a most thrilling experience. I, too, am constantly amazed that so many people fail to see the great beauty in this kind of music. Weber has always been one of my favourite composers. We must be thankful that there are also many people who do appreciate it and perform it to such a high standard.

The author composed this Mass with the aim of celebrating the fiftieth wedding anniversary of King and Queen of Saxony. This is the reason why he added the offertorium, whose words are drawn from a Psalm (In die sollemnitatis vestrae etc.)

This music has gone without a score-video too long... give me a few hours - day or two at most, and it will be done!
I'm still waiting.
@@eddydormilus5038 Well you are going to be waiting a while as I am retired, active only on my second channel ZelenkaGuru now
