Nothing wrong with off-brand, but don't sell it as Lego. I have loads of Gobricks techic pins, as Lego doesn't want our models to look nice with their ridiculous colors.
What a great informative video for a newbie like me. Where do you buy your minifigs? I do something similar to your camera, I just take a picture w phone camera and then zoom in and usually I could see what it is I can't make out
@@brickscavenger Yes I know how bad that feels when you think you're buying something in perfect condition only to receive it and find a crack. Happened recently for me with a Slave Leia, and what really stunk was I passed up another one that was cheaper that had a crack in the same spot. I ended up going with the more expensive one so I would get it in perfect condition and was so disappointed when I saw that crack.
Very good info, got a prototype transclucent purple darth vader, and didnt really know how to check them. They have the lego stamps everywhere they should tho so yay!
Echoing previous poster's comments. Very good and informative video. I always wondered how someone could tell apart fake SDCC minifigures that are so prevalent and this review helps a lot. Will also subscribe.
Good content. Anyhow, the thing is about demand. If the figure is old, i woud like to have it even cracked. It just need to be listed and noted that it is cracked.
They actually have wireless microscopes like that one that work with your phone now, and there is another cheaper option that just clips onto your phone and works with your camera. I have one of the clip on ones and it's been very helpful.

There are certainly people out there that are happy with cracked figs. My only request is that you don't sell them to unknowing people!
