Justin Loretz shows how a short travel 29er hardtail can dominate on the kind of terrain that you'd definitely think twice about tackling on a 26" equivalent. www.bikeradar.com
Meh idk I've had them all and for some reason (maybe due to ride style/height) I seem to go back to 26 or mullet 27/26 and still beat my buddies while they race me in their 29ers, idk maybe I take more time learning my bike positioning and proper maintenance/bike fit than they do...I'm also stronger I believe and do more DH than they do. At 40 years of age I'm surprised I haven't been converted to these new "less standards"... My current bike types are a Hardtail and Enduro...I also race my HT in the city against 700c and keep up, I change tires for this of course and run a bigger front chainring👌
