On mine the error message appears when the lens is mounted, without that it never blocks or in setting with high luminosity… I have to take shot 3/4 times before to get picture… where did u order the spare part?
Hello, sorry for the inconvenience. I have a Nikkon d90 that had a similar problem. They repaired the mirror mechanism. Now it works fine when it is in manual and video, but when it is in full automatic the photos come out dark
Don't buy the D80, it is poorly constructed,with way to many plastic-parts internally. It is simply not worth the cost of repair. Get a D200 instead if you want the CCD-sensor, it is a professional-grade camera construction-wise. Really a shame that Nikon cheaped out that much...

Can I discharge the capacitor by simply grounding it out? Or no?
@@NewLife-qj9mx Discharge it at the positive and negative terminals of the capacitor. use resistor 1k ohms 2 watts or higher.

After 5000 photos, my new D 90 collapse, and I take my old D 80 again. D 80 work exelent over the decade and literary milion shots.
