14th August 2024 - Makita LS0816F episode 3 - faulty blade guard

After repair at Makita UK, I unpacked the mitre saw and before anything else tried the blade cover retraction function. It doesn't work.
I'm unsure how Makita UK determined that this was fixed.

The lever is bent where you change the blade push it towards the saw to bend it to the right position it worked for me

The lever that pushes the blade guard is straight, see previous video ua-cam.com/video/2w9Vm8_lJC4/v-deo.html
And it rubs against the nut that holds the blade on, it can''t go any further that way
