- Many candidates reach out to us with questions about McKinsey PEI example stories. In this video, we share one full McKinsey example interview, including an analysis with reflections and comments on the candidate’s performance across each of the important elements of the interview.
We go through some of the most important things to consider when picking the experience that you want to talk about in the entrepreneurial drive interview. You need to show:
1. That you are able to set meaningful goals for yourself and work towards them
2. That you have perseverance and stamina to push through when things get tough
3. That you are able to make informed tradeoffs and focus on the things that truly make a difference
Through the rest of the video, we then dissect the interview and analyze how the candidate in this PEI example interview performs across those three areas.
Finally, we also comment on the overall impression from the interview, and factors that are important irrespective of which of the McKinsey PEI topics the interview covers.
Great advice about being authentic. SHowing vulnerabilities, as long as it is done in the right way, actually puts you in a more favourable light with the interviewer as they can see you are being genuine
Absolutely! Just be yourself! Everyone experiences difficult times and tough emotions. What's interesting for the interviewer is how you deal with it.
