I think competition its on price. Nio is too expensive compared. If you only need 4 whels And 1 motor its worth. Now if you have money enough And wana something more confortable .. mby tesla its not the best
While I own a Tesla Model Y, I also find the exterior of the Nio more appealing. its finish is sublime. However, I must note that the Tesla falls short in terms of finish. The pricing of the Nio seems on the higher side, leaving me puzzled about the justification for the expense.
In my experience, the Tesla Model Y from Giga Berlin in Germany has better quality than those from American or Chinese factories. I recently made a POV video with the Model 3 Highland, and the finish didn't look bad either.
In totally agree with you, it's two different worlds in quality.. ET5t above Tesla 3 any time.. Plus Tesla 3long range just got beaten by the ET5t and EL6 in the Norwegian winter range rest.. 🤘
People always comparing with Tesla....NIO and Tesla are like oil and water. NIO is a premium car, and it feels like one. Tesla is a people's car, plastic, quality...medium-low ( I have tested both) + the swap battery technology is incredibly good
It's true that NIO and Tesla have distinct characteristics that cater to different preferences. NIO positions itself as a premium car brand, and many users appreciate the luxurious feel and design of their vehicles. On the other hand, Tesla has often been associated with a more utilitarian approach, focusing on accessibility and affordability for a broader audience. Your point about Tesla's perceived quality being medium to low is subjective and can vary depending on individual experiences. Some Tesla owners praise the brand for innovation and value, while others may have different opinions. The battery swap technology offered by NIO is indeed a unique feature, providing a convenient alternative to traditional charging for some users. Each brand has its strengths, and it ultimately comes down to personal preferences and priorities when choosing between NIO and Tesla.
I tried this car back in Chongqing last summer, really liked it. It's beautiful inside out. The only thing i don't like were the lidar sensors on the forehead.
Thanks for your comment. Have you driven an EV before, or was this your first experience? I completely agree that the sensors and cameras look quite conspicuous, which detracts from the sleek design of the ET5T.
What an impressive upgrade from the Fiat 500e to the Model X! Did you unexpectedly have triplets 😅? I'll be posting the POV video of the Model X Plaid online soon.
@@GDrives_NL Lol, we switched from two cars to one car during Covid because of WFH so I got rid of the 500e. It's a nice commute ride actually, I wish there are more small EVs in the US... Looking forward to the Model X video!
It's fascinating how the pandemic has influenced our lifestyles and priorities, don't you think? Hopefully, there will be a surge in demand for small EVs in the US. We already have plenty of them in Europe. Last week, for instance, I shoot a video of the Dacia Spring and the Opel Corsa.
You need to check out the Nio sub-brand Onvo the model is L60 is a crossover which is more family oriented and a competitor for model Y, it has everything you ever wanted from a family car.
I saw a week a go an article about this car. There will be a long range variant with 1000km of range. The price will ve be around €30.000. It's a bargain if you ask me.
I can hear some weird high frequency vibrations in my headphones??These new Chinese electric car brands are famous for their advanced intelligent driving assistance systems in China. I would like to know if they can also maintain a relatively high level in your country? ? (I personally think that their automatic driving assistance in China is at least 80% of Tesla's level)
Absolutely agree. The Nio is a good looking car 😊. The ET5 indeed competes with the Model 3. On the other hand, the touring variant is more of a competitor to the Model Y.
If Google Translate has translated correctly, your interest lies in the timing and potential car damage associated with battery replacement. Initially, battery swapping is exclusive to subscribers, costing €169/month for standard and €289/month for long range models in the Netherlands, plus electricity expenses. When swapping, you trade a 20% charge for an 80% one, settling the cost difference. If you own the battery, unfortunately, swapping isn't an option. The rationale for changing the battery lies in efficiency during travel and addressing battery issues, providing a new pack within 4 to 5 minutes. As of now, there's no known adverse impact on the car, but the technology is still in its early stages, warranting further exploration.
@@GDrives_NL no, where I live ( Poland) .it's not available ( not yet) even thought I saw one ET5 sedan probably imported from Germany but...I would like to buy one
I really enjoyed the ET5 Touring. Swapping the battery is certainly a unique selling point of NIO. I hope for you that the NIO will soon become available in Poland.
Thanks for watching. What do you think of the Nio ET5 Touring? Is it a competitor of the Tesla Model Y?

What would you buy instead of Tesla?
The interior and exterior looks way better than the model Y. I also like the bezels of the tablet, it's all even.

Good point, price is indeed a factor to consider
I honestly don't think the model 3 is superior to the ET5/T. If anyone has actually been in a Tesla or owned one would know the quality sucks.

Not just the 3/Y, the X too. It's loud af and I've been stung by the interior wood finish while cleaning it,

The situation at 19:28 and the horn was part of the test 😜
@@GDrives_NL welp, looks like it works!
The Nio passes the horn test flawlessly 😅
Could you post more Nio videos ? Thank you I enjoyed this one
Thank you for your kind words. I drove also the et7. Did you see the video?
The ride looks very smooth! If that is possible to decide from a video
I enjoyed the car very much. This car is quiet, comfortable and doesn't squeak or creak yet :)
hey man nice video test more el6 or cupra formentor vz 2.0 thanks.
Thank you. I will add the NIO El6 and the Cupra Formentor to my list.

Nice drive our white el7 will be delivered next month so there will be be at least one more good looking car on the road in the Rotterdam area 😂
Congrats with the EL7 and many safe kilometers. The EL7 is on my list to drive it :)

A VW diesel for now 😂
