What a mountain of wonderful ideas for using baskets in one’s home! I use them for gift baskets, toiletries or a welcome gift in our guest bedroom, and holding magazines. Now I have new challenges to use them elsewhere. Thank you!

Oh yes to baskets! I have been collecting Longaberger Baskets for over 25 years. So yes, my home is filled with them and everyone is used in many different ways! If they have lids, they hold various things and I can stack them. The list goes on and on. The wall pocket ones hold utensils on a brick wall... Some hold my winter gloves by the door. Oh my magazines in some....LOL!!! I have open shelves in my half bath downstairs, so those hold all the items like band aides, meds, things you don’t want seen!

I collect Longaberger baskets too!! I have for over 30 years and I love them!!
My Blessed Nest After reading your comment I started to count mine in the kitchen and my half bath off the kitchen.....LOL I had to start over a couple of times because I thought I was counting some twice. Oh dear... 40 in the two rooms! Our half bath has the rustic/industrial looking shelves and I put all Medical items, extra toilet paper, extra tissues, cat supplies ( their brushes, combs shampoos, etc.. ) ....extra hand towels, etc... you know all the items that would go in a cabinet or drawer.... so they are hidden but I know where to find them. They are the bigger ones that come with lids.
I’m not going to count all my other rooms ! I know at one time I was going to sell them because of sickness...and thought twice. I do use them daily, they don’t sit unused . And at that time it was over 100. I did sewing , so I have the big sewing basket. I used to have parties, so some I earned. I also have their pottery which is amazing! The Traditional Holly Print for Christmas. A set of the Ivory and then I wanted color, so I went with Paprika, Sage and Butternut. Their baking dishes are the best! Something about baking in a pottery cake pan and muffins everything comes out so nice... LOVE!
I have also given our 2 daughters pottery for Wedding Gifts. One daughter loved the solid green and the other the solid blue.
Sorry for the letter, but when I find someone who knows Longaberger Basket and Pottery... I get a little chatty because I love mine and use them in many, many ways. They are heavy and well made!

That’s awesome Jayne! I get excited when I see someone who collects them too because I love them so much and a lot of people don’t know what they are! You use them and that’s great! I have a lot I use and I recently inherited some from my Mother in law and I’m incorporating them into my home as well. There are some that I have that are the “old” colors from the 90’s with hunter green and mauve accents. I even painted one all white and I love the refresh! I never got into the pottery but my friend did and she has the paprika and loves it! Great talking to you! God bless you! 💕

I have always admired your baskets throughout your home. The texture and weave of each one adds that depth to all the spaces you place them in. I am a basket lover as well and have been trying to find ones that bring a touch of interest to some of my more empty spaces. Don’t have a lot, because like you, i want it to be a little different. What I do have, I love and have just recently moved several around. With spending so much time at home lately, I thought it would be fun!! I always end up moving them back to their original spot. I have many wire baskets from antique stores that I use to decorate. They’re awesome, but don’t project the same warmth as your wicker beauties.

Your videos are a source of peace and inspiration to me! I only discovered your channel a few weeks ago, but I anxiously await new uploads from you. I walked through my home yesterday and tried to think of “what Andrea would do” and sourced a few baskets from my stash to scatter about and hang on the wall. They DO add great texture and big impact!
We also started our refrigerator camouflage yesterday. :-) Very basic compared to what you are dreaming of, but there is no longer a “dark side” of the refrigerator butting up to my marble countertops and SW Alabaster cabinets. ;-)👏🏻

Andrea, I'm glad you did a tutorial on the baskets because I love everyone of yours. The one on your refrigerator I have and I believe the one I have is very old but I didn't know what to do with it until I saw yours and yes I put mine on top of my refrigerator to and I love it. I was going to ask where you got the big round one on your wall because everytime I see it, I just love it. You have some beautiful baskets, I love them to!

Love your Currier and Ives tea cups. My grandma gave me her set. I have platters dishes saucers tea cups soup cups plates up to ashtrays. I even have a tea pot a covered dish. It's quite a set?

Loving that 3 tier basket!!! Your kitties are beautiful!!! Do they get in the baskets...I know mine used to ( she crossed the Rainbow Bridge 2 years ago) she looooooved baskets!!!! That wallpaper???? on the wall in your kitchen!! I love it! Do you remember where you got it?
I absolutely love baskets too and you have integrated them in your home beautifully. Be very careful of baskets from thrift stores because they can harbour bed bugs. To be safe put them in your freezer in a sealed plastic bag and that will kill any pests. Items that can go in the dryer should be in for 20 minutes on high heat.
I put all of my thrifted baskets in the shower,spray them heavily with diluted Murphy’s Oil Soap,then rinse with HOT water and let air dry.
Would you say the baskets would go good if i have the gold white n silver pieces?

am struggling to find a way to make it look cute and have it function other than a trash basket. I guess it’s the shape of it that’s making it hard for me to figure out other uses for it. I would love to know how you would style this kind of basket .
Depending on the size, how about an umbrella stand, rolling pin and wooden spoons, silk hydrangeas, wrapping paper, small gardening tools or small cleaning tools? 🤔

Enjoy your videos! Question...how do you clean the dust from your baskets on a regular basis? In the past, I have enjoyed using baskets, but they seem to "catch" dust. Maybe some viewers have hints for this? Thank you!

I don't know why people only want light colored baskets. To me they lack character and don't give them a authentic rustic look. I like the dark wood and mixture of colored baskets to add depth.
