  • We’ve been told that relentless hard work is the key to success, but as a result, professionals around the world are burning out. Is it even possible to build a sustainable career you feel good about? If only you could make your work feel effortless! In this talk, Sneha Mandala, an ICF Certified Professional Coach, describes the two factors that can consistently help you get into a ‘flow state’ at work, making your day feel more energizing, natural, and free-flowing - ultimately reducing burnout.
    Sneha Mandala has flexed and flowed through cities, cultures, and careers. The only thing that keeps her grounded is her mantra that every day should feel effortless. When she discovered that her best and most inspired work came from being herself and finding flow, she made it her mission to empower others to make their work feel effortless and achieve their peak performance This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. She just described something that I figured out just now at my 40's. This really makes all the difference. Not only for the person but for the company. At the end, productivity and satisfaction at work goes hand to hand. I believe this is one of the biggest switches we will have following psychological safety.

    "In the zone." I hadn't felt that in years and if I did it was a fleeting moment. The success train is a sales pitch and that's okay if you buy into it. The most amazing thing is when you recognise you have a choice as to how you're going to take this all in. Chasing success is a tireless commitment. Recognising success in the moments, seeing there is challenge is a process. This is not the beginning or the end, its a journey of peaks and valleys with lessons and triumphs to be contemplated and/or enjoyed. The mind is a silent achiever, it will give you as much disappoint, drama or joy that you program into it.

      That is so true, Slava - 'the shiny new object' syndrome that I share in the talk... No point in burning out in a new job even if it pays higher.

    Right from the start I was completely drawn in on how she perfectly described the dangled carrots of career building. Just keep working harder and harder, take on more responsibility and keep on doing it every single day. In the meantime, in the name of career and driving at the wheel of success there goes another birthday, and the many events along the way. To do lists, racing through the day to get it all done, running to or racing through traffic. One day melts into years of being in the game, playing the game and then what? The person you once were drains away. This a wonderful talk about how to turn that mindset around and add purpose to living, not just working. Childlike curiosity doesn't have to be lost, though it sure does require acceptance. This age old belief of boss & employee, driven by measurable results turns data into action and matter of fact of decisions based on bottom line numbers and machines. Since Covid, and for the first time "burnout" is a new buzz word and mental health is now a recognised detractor to the bottom line. And so is the uncovering of modern slavery.

    The core message is so grounding…made me really go inwards and reflect on some tough questions on how and why I do what I do at work, and how I can get more productive effortlessly. This talk is going to stay with me for a long time - in-fact for as long as I have a career!

    Exactly right. Human beings are not lazy. We want to be connected and useful creating an abundant, needed service or product. Let the machines do the soulless repetitive work of factories. Tax the robots, and fund a UBI that will free humans up to study what they love, volunteer and work out of their gifts and strengths.

    Attitude is everything, or so they say! Change is easier said than done. Thoughts verses action, lists verses doing, requires discipline. Mind over matter is a heck of an internal conversation, and most likely the mind is eager to deliver a conditioned or learned response. Tie in some expectations, desires to be accepted and highly avoiding anything that might attract being excluded, can fill you with debilitating fear, the kind that freezes you. Its not the thoughts that change you, its the actions wrapped around your daily mantra and what your working toward rather than staying stuck where you are. Change is not meant to be easy because if it was you'd miss the joy of seeing effortless possibility. Hold it gently with full awareness.

    • @ruchidj
      @ruchidj Рік тому +1

      I don't think you fully understood the point there. Sneha explains in the next few seconds that "adding more drive to your work" means finding those tasks in your workday that make you feel more driven. It doesn't mean doing your work with more drive. It means to explore and discover what elements in your work already drive you - and start including more of those in your workday.

    God loves you and takes care of you for the arrival of this message to you. God exists and He is the one who controls the universe. The biggest loss that a person can lose in this life is to live and die without knowing God and His Messenger Muhammad and the Islamic religion is the last religion after the Torah and the Bible. I advise you who read this message to read The Qur’an is translated in its own language, and after that, you can decide whether you are convinced of it or not. What is your feeling after death, and you see what awaits you from God’s torment, an eternal loss of intelligence to know and read, and you have the judgment after your conviction.

    We cannot walk easily in the streets due to fear of the police. we protest so we can get our rights but they shoot us with gun and attacking with electric shocker. age doesn't matter to them, recently they shot a 10 yo girl and a 15 yo boy.
    In iran police use ambulance to transfer people that they get in the streets to prisones. they won't use it for injured people and they brought them from hospitals so they can do what they want easier. we have no official information of where they take people and what they do to them. we know so little and even that is from the ones who had the chance to comeback alive. we need help please.
