So here is a vlog of our city trip to Paris, we had the best time. I did struggle a lot, and I hit a bit of a break point, but I pressed on for my boys.

I understand your emotional breakdown. Chronic pain is a lonely terrible thing. You’re probably being judged, you feel guilty because you want to be involved with your family. Just know you are special, you’re here for a reason and although it’s difficult, we have to be thankful for everyday we have. I also suffer with chronic pain from my back so I know the feeling of thinking you’re not doing enough. You are beautiful on the inside and outside and you are loved. Your sons are so handsome. I just recently found your channel and love it. I commented before on your haul but this video was emotional. Just take one day at a time sweetie.

You made me cry with this video. 😭 As a mother we put everybody first before ourselves, but you need to take you and your needs first. Your boys love you and understand in their own way. I've had many breakdown moments, that's part of real life. You do not need to apologize ❤ The red lip, OMG, was beautiful on you. You were in the fashion capital of the world, red is a staple color in Paris! I'm thinking Valentino red. Driving on the left side of the road is an accomplishment you should be proud of, I could never do it🤣 The one thing I did pickup in this vlog, I love the way the British pronounce the sneaker Adidas. @karenbritchick pronounces it the same way and she lives in New York City, the city that put Adidas on the map! If you do not follow her please do she is fabulous. She has the same je ne sais quoi that you have, something special that draws people to you❤ I loved the hoodie and trench look you had on with the Adidas. ❤❤ P.S. Your oldest son, he favors you, he has your beautiful eyes and eyebrows.

Hi Jodi,this is by far the best video you’ve made .Total honesty we really got to appreciate what you go through most days.Yes as a mum we always want our kids to have a fun childhood and you clearly do your very best to achieve that for your boys.It did really upset me when you were crying and explaining how chronic pain effects you physically and emotionally but you push through it most days,it’s a lot for you to deal with as said you are just forty.Praying for you ,and I have massive love and respect for you.x

I'm 47 and had brain surgery and it left me with some dramatic changes. So prayers unto you!!! Bottom line you can do it and make it with GOD... Amen

Oh love. Big hugs. I've been to Paris on numerous occasions when I was fitte r and that was a lot as it's so widespread. I have severe arthritis now and it's hard when your body won't let you do stuff. You are doing an amazing thing for your boys xxx

Hi Jodie, I feel for you, please try & pace yourself. We had our granddaughters 18th birthday on Friday, we had a 2 hour drive & I was in agony before we had even done anything! We had a lovely night but I was in so much pain I couldn't get out of the bed in the morning. My husband had to help me up & dress me bless him. I always feel like I'm letting everyone down but my family do understand. Jodie your boys will be happy just having this experience with you so please don't be hard on yourself, I know how frustrating it is but we can only do our best. Take care xxx

Awww, bless you. I can honestly relate. I had countless times when my boys had to help dress me, and my partner had to even shower me. I always get the feeling of letting my whole family down 😔
So sorry about the pain….have you considered knee replacement surgery??plus trying prednisone for the pain….I know it’s unbearable…you’re a beautiful soul and I pray you feel better ❤

@bigprettyme1622 Yr such a lovely person & put on a brave face all the time & you need to get it out. Its just so shit. I can't imagine. I have arthritis in 1 knee & 1 hand weirdly enough & it is so painful so can't imagine what ypu go through. Mines not bad at the moment comes in flare ups don't it sometimes worse than others. Take care of Yr special self & remember we all love you & think Yr great ❤️

I have a trip coming up and dread the travelling and having people wait and FOMO. I've made a list of added things to take like rubs, hotwater bottle and a ice bag.
Good for you making a massive effort!! I agree. It does feel "invisible" I've even downsized my explanation to describe what I'm feeling cos it's too much to explain to others how it feels.

Jodie understand how you're feeling as I had bad knees and decided to have surgery it was the best decision I made had both knees total replacement not going to lie recovery was hard but after 3 months I was a new woman can walk for miles and lost a lot of. Weight because I can walk now so I hope you get the surgery and never have to go through that kind of pain again just have to mention loved the red lip you looked stunning you should have left it on red lip and Paris perfect you should be so proud of yourself driving to Paris not easy stay safe stay beautiful.❤🍸

Aww gosh Jodi we are so in the same place. My son is so gracious with my health and I’m blessed to lean on my husband. Still… I know the crushing pain of chronic illness and then disappointment of missing out. I also have a UA-cam channel under a different account and it’s a nice outlet when I can do it. Just want you to know I relate - and I love that your boys are learning so much from you about compassion. They’re gorgeous young men, I’ve watched them grow the last couple of years. Hello Jodi I felt every step u took. I carry my meds with me everywhere I go. We women at times don’t think of ourselves first but ur boys are old enough to do things there while u rest in between walks. But to be honest I did the same thing with my boys as well. I too use the volt ram gel and I mix it with Vicks rub and vanilla and lavender oil and that helps so much. I had the surgery at thirty two yrs of age and I’m 61 now I’m much smaller then I was when I had the surgery and the pain has become much more worse. I suffer much more now then I did. The surgeon said it will return but it’s going to get much so now when I go out I have to rent a scooter just so I can keep up with my grown boys and two grand kids. Injustice use it for long distance.well I hope that u fill much better soon. I also hope that u can continue to enjoy urself with u an ur boys much love to u and tell the aunt sends her love. Be safe and I see u at ur next video. The swimsuit all looked nice but I like the pink swimsuit the best.

I don't know if you've heard about this pain relief technique It may help especially between taking painkillers. Go and relax in a quiet area. Laying on your bed with curtains closed. What you do is just focus and concentrate on the pain. Because your brain connects to the nerves in your body. You can sometimes numb the pain. If you do this put a do not disturb sign on your door because if someone comes in and asks you how your feeling it stops it from working. Hope this helps you sweetie ❤

You are so brave Jodie!! I'm 38 and have mobility and pain issues myself due to a neurological condition. I have a 17 & 15 year old. I would be so anxious to do this kind of trip and feel so proud of you for doing it. I heard you mention you might not be able to do these things again in the future and wondered if you have considered using any mobility aids? Like a wheel chair? I know it's a difficult pill to swallow, it something I struggle with all the time and get myself in a state about needing something like that. You are amazing for going ❤ xx

@@bigprettyme1622 I do have a rolator with a seat that I can use to sit down if I need too... I don't use it very often as I said it is hard to come to terms with needing that kind of aid, however when I went on holiday last year with my family it made navigating the airport and unfamiliar routine so much easier to manage xxx
@ruthc4d I will look into this kind of thing, but I normally book Disability assistance at the airport, which is so helpful as they push in a wheelchair to the plane. I highly recommend this x
I feel your pain! I always have to wear my knee brace and wear my tried and true walking shoes ( under armour hover) with arched insoles...I feel like a broken doll sometimes

Nothing worse than pain,as no one knows what we endure. The apartment is lovely. So compact. Seems as tho you had a nice break in Paris. I have been to Paris but not been into the city. People ask me all the time if I am ok dueto my spinal problems with my mobility. One woman did tell me that it’s the ultimate worst thing to have reduced mobility. I have been like this for nearly twenty years and it does not get easier so I sympathise with you.
Well done you for driving to Paris as I don’t think i could not do it years ago I went tonstay with my cousin in America with my daughter who was twelve at the time. My cousin asked me if I would like to go to Carmel for my second wee. I erm said no as,I did it know anything about the highways and byways so we did go to Disney and on the way there the car broke down and we stayed in this little place like what you saw in the movies years ago as it was an old town called Bakersfield on the Sunday. We left USA on the Friday night and arrived in Uk the same day. Talk about jet lag

Hi Jodie, gosh you are so brave I've never even thought of doing anything like this before! When my boys were younger I'd book a coach trip and if their dad wasn't working he'd drive us. I don't drive unfortunately! But even if I could I don't think I'd be this brave. Your right to feel proud of yourself I'm proud of you 😊 at least you had a great time. And going with your boys and having those memories is everything. I loved the dance they both did when they saw the busker that made me smile 😁 the busker liked it too 😂 Jodie when you were crying I was crying too 😢 knowing how much pain you were in...so sad. Your boys are always going to be there for you. Your eldest is your double! Both boys are gorgeous ❤ my husband has Chronic pain and he's in constant pain daily. I'm his carer and the struggles he goes through every minute of the day. It's hard seeing someone that was fit when they were younger and now can't do as much. It's heart breaking. I too now have issues back problems arthritis in my knees and a bend in my spine I too take meds to ease it but meds can only do so much. We can't win! We just have to smile and carry on 😂 😊 this was fun to watch so thanks for sharing. Nice car too love the colour 😂 see you in your next video/vlog take care ❤

(I had tears in my eyes hearing you share your painful struggle 🥲) With all the obstacles you had faced with your disabilities...you have won, by not letting these challenges stop you. From driving all the way to Paris from England, spending quality time with your boys, doing a mini haul (loved it all) I am praying that if and when you get your knee replacement, that are able to do more of these travelling vlogs pain-free, but I salute you for courageous, "not giving up" attitude and your boys are supportive troopers too. 💪🏾 Ps: I loved the OOTD of the burgundy hoodie and trench coat and sambas (I'm gonna nick that idea from you) ❤

Bless you sweetheart. There’s nothing worse than being in pain and nobody can begin to understand until they’ve been there. I have arthritis in my hips and it is so painful, my partner also likes to go walking for miles and I am fearing our relationship won’t last as I can’t keep up with him. It’s so sad.

I really hope that doesn't happen, but unfortunately, these are the issues we face. I to got into a new relationship 3 years ago and at first because I only saw him from time to time I found it easy to try and hide just how much my illness impact my mobility and life. I would spend the night and day with him, then come home and be in excruciating pain for days and days after. It wasn't long before we started spending more time together, and then I couldn't hide it anymore. I'm grateful he trys to understand and he really does help me alot now buy I do feel guilty that he has to be with someone who suffers so much because it does limit what we can do daily. Well done Jodie on making those wonderful memories for your boys. Driving to Paris is certainly a challenge with your medical condition but you were brave enough to do it which shows what a strong person you are. Yes you had your moments when the pain got to you but it didn’t ruin your little break your boys would have loved it. I’m a lot older than you but I have osteoarthritis myself of my knees so hope you don’t mind if I give you a couple of tips. Firstly never wear flat shoes even in the house as it makes the condition worse as there is no cushioning to take the impact. Try and wear trainers, I rip the insoles out of mine and buy memory foam cushioned insoles…I get them from Amazon this has made a huge difference. Secondly a product I’ve become to rely on for my knee pain is called Biofreeze, a completely natural ingredient which means you can take your medication with it unlike a lot of rubs. It kind of freezes the pain, I get it from Amazon. I hope you get your knee operations soon then it will be a game changer for you , you’ve lost so much weight already you certainly deserve it. My fingers are crossed for you. ❤❤ xx

What a fabulous looking family ❤keep the red lip you look bloody gorgeous 🥰 take things slow and if you feel any pain sit down i deal with this everyday don't let it beat you, i don't ,and i have cancer flower my son is fabulous with me and youres will be too i also have fibro and if you need too, use a crutch or a stick it helps honestly xxx

Hey Lovely, never ever apologise for being human living to live with chronic pain etc. you’re a hero honestly! You’ve just driven all the way to blummin Paris! Superwoman! With 2 teenagers too😳🤯😝I felt every step for you 😢Try not to beat yourself up for something you cannot help. This won’t be the last time! for sure Darlin, just plan a little bit more n hire a wheelchair or get crutches at least for that support next time. Recommend nerve blocking injections, morphine n lidocaine patches actually strapping the knees and new knees too. If you’re stuck the deep freeze spray (like deep heat but cold) is a miracle. It numbs the knee n back pain immediately. You’ll get a new lease of life promise. I’ve travelled all over n have the same as you too for over 20 years n have travelled all over n at 65 still don’t intend in stopping n I’m saying you better not either n btw one knows you there 😂 😜 Celebrate your achievements Jodie…Amazing 👏👏🙏🥰❣️

@@bigprettyme1622 Ah you’re welcome. Just a tip. Those lidocaine patches you can get from your gp or consultant. Put them on either side of your knee. Place the bottom of the patch on securely and the pull up n over with tension up n over your knee. It takes the weight of them and supports them too., but deffo ask about nerve blocking injections they’re miraculous. They take away at least 60% or more of the pain away for at least 3-4 months. You’re much too young n vital to be suffering like that. Good luck Love.🥰

Yes, I'm on the waiting list to have knee replacement, but until then, I have to bear with it 😩

I have had many times over the years, just like you have experienced with the pain everywhere, and I finally succumbed to buying a mini disability scooter that folds to the size of a trolley dolly so that you can put it in the back of your car. Hello Jodi, I am crying now because I know the pain. You know I have arthritis in my knees also but one thing I had to do was find some type of relief so I have very stylish canes that I use, I have some that have flower design on it, I have a purple one and etc. I know this is hard but you will be able to take the pressure of your knees a little bit. I really did not want to do this and I felt so same as I am 41 years old , but you know I said I don’t care if some people look at me, it was the pain and you know what no one is making me feel uncomfortable but me. In fact people have been very kind in holding doors, giving me a seat etc and I walk with pride. You will be able to be with your boys more.My canes have a small rubber stand at the bottom so I don’t slip. Honey please take care of yourself and ask your doctor for help. I will pray for you if you don’t mind.

I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone, but speaking to people like yourself who truly understand my struggle makes me feel that less alone. I bought a knee and a back brace which helps when I have to walk. I knew you would end up like this, my joints were hurting just seeing the distance you walked.

Wish I’d known you were going. We went couple of years ago. I pre hired a mobility scooter that was delivered to where we were staying. I couldn’t have managed to walk round the corner never mind to the Eiffel Tower or around Paris. If I’d known I would have given you the email from the mobility company I hired it from as they were brilliant! Try to enjoy as much as you’re able. Uber if you can to main sights. The tour bus is good too as it takes to all the main sights and you can get if and in as many times as you need to.

Please, please, please looking into Carnivore, Intermittent Fasting and Oxalates. Your story resonates with me so much (and I've got 20yrs on you). I've lost 40kg (have another 40 to go) but even if weight loss isn't your goal, I've been overwhelmed by the almost instant improvements to my health - I went from not being able to walk more than 20 yds without pain and breathlessness to joining a gym on day 10.....and now I've got a 100km walk planned later in the year, plus off all my meds. There are lots of vids on here from credible sources. Best of luck.

I have done intimate fasting and have lost just over 4 stone. I'm currently at a stand still but will get back on it very soon. I know once I'm lighter, my knee won't be as painful.

Hello love I was crying right along with you I live in the United States I live in the state of Colorado very high in the mountains so we get rain and cold I also suffer from chronic pain I have diabetes I also have high blood pressure I am with a considered morally obese very heavy and weight I also suffer from knee pain and I also have neuropathy I have no feeling in my feet very much my hands and I'm 52 years old I'm still very young and I haven't worked in the last 9 years because of my condition and I also forgot I am also on oxygen I've always done physical work I've always worked I've had to move back into my mother's and my father's home I am blessed that I have a home and a roof over my head but it's hard My boys are older now I have a 24-year-old and a 21-year-old very good young men I'm very proud and my oldest just made me a grandma about a month ago so I have a little granddaughter by the name of ivory and she's beautiful and I cry because I know I can't take care of her I fallen a lot so that scares my son for me to keep her because he worries that if I fall it would be scary you know so just remember arthritis flares up whenever the weather changes it's cold wet keep your head up you are so beautiful and I know that if me and you ever met we would be the best of friends so I'm glad you made it to Paris I grew up in Germany Manheim and I've had them pleasure of visiting just about every hair including England so I love what you are putting out because there's so many of us sorry I had to make such a long comment but I just felt the need to let you know that you're not alone and stay amazing Good evening my love
