- Watch TIM U WOOD as he experiences the eight wastes in health care during his hospital visit in this Lean process improvement waste walk training video developed by the University Health Network (UHN)
I remember when I was a phlebotomist, always made me cringe about how many styro-foam cups both patients and staff wasted in a given time. Although I never had an exact number, I always thought there could be a more efficient and environmental way to consume fluids. When I brought it up to y manager at the time, they gave me an odd look and I decided not to pursue the idea anymore. Good video with good examples.
As a professional in healthcare administration, I both appreciated and cringed at this informative and light-hearted video was a poignant illustration of many of the most common challenges and opportunities for improvement in healthcare delivery. Encouragingly, many healthcare organizations are developing expertise and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodology in daily operations and projects to reduce these and other sources of waste.
its a great video which express the real life of health care provider in most of hospitals ,
I can tell this video is old, but it's still funny as of this day. Great way to learn about the 7 MUDAS.
Great illustration of TimUWood, waste in healthcare.
Great real-world examples of all 8 categories of waste.
Typically true experience for all wastes. Rarely do you see only 2 or 3 waste events occur during a patient experience. Lots of opportunities for improvement.
A very easy way to both learn and realize how waste can be present in everything that we do at work or even in our daily life!
Great depiction of the 8 lean categories of waste!
Solid real life example of how many different types of waste exist in a basic experience such as a hospital visit!
Helpful to see TimUWood in real life examples.
Great application (hospital setting) for looking into the forms of process waste. Is there an incentive for hospitals in Canada to have efficient processes?
The incentives are faster processing time, better quality of work, lower costs, increase safety, etc
you can see the same 8 lean categories of waste in all the industries no just in health care system.
This funny, sad, & all true.
Thanks !
Is that a time that TIMWOODS would be more effective than TIM U. WOODS?
amazing job!!!
