Even if we're strictly talking about type 2 there are medications that taken long term can affect your sugar and cause pancreatic changes that often aren't reversible. High dosage steroids (like Prednisone) for example can alter blood chemistry over time and people can become diabetic. Which typically doesn't go away over time even when medication ends. First of all, it’s a life threatening surgery, so just him making the choice to do it deserves respect, but there is also a huge amount of recovery after having gastric bypass and after healing you have to make major lifestyle changes to ensure the surgery works. When I lost about 50 to 60 pounds I lost it through diet and exercise and it took about a year and something, and it didn't impact my looks nor did I have a lot extra skin. Just my opinion.

Im 24, my mom passed away a year and half ago, 3 months after my dad passed away from cancer. (They were divorced and separated) she was 65 and she had congestive heart failure, COPD and she was a chainsmoker. She would not stop smoking cigarettes or lower her sodium intake and it caused her COPD to unleash its wrath upon her one last time and caused a multi organ failure from lack of oxygen. I was living with her and trying to take care of her but she wasnt even trying to take care of herself. I understand that smoking is an addiction and I come from a family with almost of every kind of addiction, but she wouldnt even try to get help for it. And after my dad passed away she completely gave up taking care of herself. I was a 22 year old guy whose parents both passed away within 4 months of each other, and I was my moms only child, but I have 2 half sisters who are a lot older and live far away. I agree that he was always handsome. He didn't really have a very fat face prior to surgery so the weight loss really shows in his face.

I don't think he looks healthy at all. He looks ill. Reminds me of the actor Dolph sweet from gimmie a break who died from stomach cancer. He should not lose anymore.

I'm happy for Billy on his weight loss journey and excellent health,Mike and Molly was and still is one of the best shows that was ever on tv 📺, I enjoyed laughing hard at this show, they should do a Mike and Molly reunion show, where the cast and crew reunite and reminisce about the show and all the fun times that they had and all the funny 😄 moments that they had, also they should show some bloopers and outtakes to have you laughing harder 😅.

Started keto two years ago..a great journey..he looks great..with gastric bypass, there comes many commitments..one factor is nutrients that don’t get absorbed due to the rerouting the surgery causes, but, he made the decision and it has changed his outlook on life. So proud.
