Great video 👍🏻 Not sure about other motorists. If I am slower than a truck coming up behind me on the slow lane of freeways, if possible, I'd move to the other lane allowing the truck to pass me on the same slow lane so the truck has a safer pass instead of changing lanes. In the clip, so many slower passenger vehicles are just not considerate of trucks as well as general traffic.
Stumbled across your channel and my Dad used to be a trucker when he was alive. I miss being on the road with him when I was young (I’m nearly 60 now), and this brings back so many good memories. I hope you’re enjoying working in Australia (except for the rain, lol). I’m in Brisbane too. I also work for Australia Post and often hear about the drivers going halfway to swap trailers so they can be back in their home town for the weekend. It's been the coldest July up here in Queensland that I can remember. A truckers life is certainly not for everyone but you seem to handle it with ease.
2024 We have not had very much rain in Melbourne this year (had to water garden ,lawn) . Think more in Sydney and north as well as WA. Great to see the channel .

I miss the great outdoors and the 18 speed Roadranger. You enjoy the freedom out there, we have the best country for Trucking by far.
If you do want to film yourself at the wheel then use a red light, all ship wheelhouses have red lights for illumination at night as the red doesn't affect your night vision. You appear to be very competent with a large vehicle. no easy feat reversing one of those rigs. Stay safe and keep on trucking.

Hi from Central Queensland. Just discovered your blog and was glued to the end. Truck driving used to be the domain of rough tough old blokes who could change wheels with their bare hands. Now it has become the domain of women and Indians. Sorry if that sounds sexist/racist. Just an observation. I work for a Mack truck dealer, they are good trucks nothing much goes wrong with them we mostly sell service parts. I have more respect for you when I see how boring and lonely life on the road is. I love driving but could not see myself backing those B double trailers round a tight yard. All the best and keep the shiny side up.

At 6:41 the Ettamogah Rail Hub is on your right and the Davey Rd exit to Jindera is on your left. It is also saying Wodonga and Melbourne ahead, so in this section, you are certainly heading Sothwards. Of course, none of this matters - I am just being a subborn argumentative bastard! It's all with a smile of course! Takes nothing away from your excellent footage - we are hanging for your next one! Wondering did you have to get permission from your employer to do the channel and what camera do you use? Also are you not allowed to film yourself driving as I'd love to see you changing gears on the roadmaster (I think that's what the gear stick is called? lol)
Haha, Roadranger 😁 no i only drive autos for now, company is all cool, as long as i dont film when im at other companies 😅 I use GoPros, i have 3, one hero 12 and two hero 11’s, and then a bunch of gear for them
Definitely not more strict, but a bit more complicated (maybe it’s just habit) But since we have the tacho, we don’t really need to keep track of that much by ourselves

How can you drive for so many hours I do not understand, I thought you had to take mandatory brakes, I saw that 1 driver was caught having driven for 23 hours and was locked up. Maybe you could explain. like your vlogs keep on trucking regards John
@@wrkings I started with a rigid license in Denmark (which is just a big car imo) and then did singles for a while, and slowly started getting into the bigger ones… I guess everything gets easier with practice 😁 I grew up around trucks, so I guess that helps too, always having someone to call with any questions and problems

How are you adjusting to the long bonnet and B double set up.
B double isn’t that different from the 25 meters back home, the bonnet did take a day or 2 to get used to, but no problem now

First clips are headed north, to Sydney, had my break at Kyeamba, then to Sydney to fuel up, before headed further north 😁
