I love ❤️ this recipe and I am going to try this weekend..☺️☺️
How can I contact you regarding future Chef???
I made a full dinner with your recipes today. Joojeh, Kobideh, Toum, rice your way, grilled tomatoes + pardon peppers and my own special red sauce etc. Total success! Thank you so much!
Sounds great!!!
I live in a mountain town in northern Pennsylvania, so we don’t have many really great food options besides pizza/Italian and American-style Chinese food. This looks SO much easier, cheaper, and healthier! Most meats are SUPER expensive now, but I always have a freezer full of chicken breasts, so I’m definitely going to make this- plus, my kids are young and usually refuse to eat anything that isn’t a carb or chicken, so they should love this too!
They will love it!! Kids love the chicken in my restaurant haha! I even have chicken nuggets on the menu but most the time they opt for joojeh instead!
So, is it a weekly favorite in your house now? Hope the kids are well and enjoying their summer.
Henry, that haircut makes you looks so much YOUNGER !! 😍
Thank you Henry. I have been cooking Joojeh Kebab for years according your older recipe. In this new one you no longer use onions which makes things even easier than before👍
It really comes down to personal preference, when doing it with any red meat I always add the onion. But with chicken as I want the intense flavour of the lemon, I dont add onions to it. Some people also add garlic too, It just comes down too what you prefer. Always good to experiment with little things like that
I always like to add onions or garlic to get rid of any gaminess from the chicken
@@HenrysHowTos onion help tenderise too tho
I had Rumi's when i visited Atlanta this weekend and now im obsessed and trying to recreate the dish with a side of sumac
Rumi’s is the best. We have one in DC too
Little correction: basmati rice is not Persian. Iran has its own rice which is very similar to Thai jasmine rice more on the fragrant side.
Thank you for the recipe i love Persian food and always wanted to know the recipe
you should add onion to the marinade! its the most important ingredient..
Clear, simple and tastes great. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Hi Henry, i have been making this from your recipe a few years ago, but that one had 1 Diced Onion in it and it is absolutely authentic,, why you changed the recipe on this one?
In really comes down to personal preference regarding the onions, for e.g. some people even add fresh garlic to it. Personally I prefer the intense flavour of the lemon as opposed to the garlic. But when working with red meat, I will always add onions, thats a must!!
A suggestion for a video: Cooking alternatives/methods for a gas/charcoal grille for those of us who do not have that option.
Will keep it in mind! Might do some charcoal grill options over the Xmas period
Use the broiler in your oven, set the chicken close to the broiler, and watch it. Turn just the same as you would if you were cooking over charcoal or gas.
Thank you for the video. Could you do a video on making basmati rice, saffron water salads.
Muchas gracias...desde tecoman colima mexico
Hi Henry, everything’s in the mixing bowl and I was just wondering about the onions too. They’re going in but would love to know why not adding. Thanks :)
It really depends on everyone personal taste, example, I always add the onion when doing red meat, but not so much chicken as it already has the intense flavour of lemon!
Thank you.
This is you teach cooking. Straight forward. Boom
What's that yellow spice you put in the marinade?
Where is your onion?!!?!?!
Interesting! No onion slices or onion juice in the marinade? I wonder how this recipe compares
Let me know how you go! Comes down to personal preference, some people even add fresh garlic to the mix!
Looks absolutely delicious ! 😋
That looks absolutely fantastic 👍👍👍😎🏴
Thanks 👍
Looking sharp Henry - and you fixed the tip of your Shun?
Haha you noticed!!! Im sentimental about my knives so I did not want to buy a new one! Instead I just spent about 30 minutes on my bench grinder repairing it
Hi , thanks for your afford showing my country’s food to the world.
Did you forget to add onion in marinate?
One word to describe this. Devine.
Much appreciated!!
Chef Henry, you are the best!
Woooow Amazing Recipe a nice Recipe thanks for sharing such a nice Recipe 👍👍👍👌👍👌
I always told people, yes, saffron are expensive spice, but a little pinch goes a long way specially after you grind it to a powder.

Would you have a good substitute suggestion for the Greek yogurt?
🤤 🤤 🤤👍 I like to baste the kebobs with the melted butter while they are grilling too!
Me too! Just gotta be careful to avoid flare ups and burn the meat! Butter is always good!!!
Now I’m hungry!!!! Looks delicious!!!!
Great video ! How do you make the saffron oil that you mix in the rice at the end ?
I brush on melted butter with saffron when serving in my restaurant, very simple!! Just add about 1/2 tsp crushed saffron to 1 cup melted butter.
If I want to cook it on a traybake in the oven, do you know how long it would take? ( don’t have a grill or bbq unfortunately).
I did in airfryer without sticks perfection
Great recipe👍👏 0:00

I like how hard you have tried to change your accent to sound like a British but messed up everything big time Mr. Henry. I rather learn how to make Jojeh Kabab from a Persian than a British, but you somehow don’t very British though lol.
