Does anyone remember when Bed Bath and Beyond decided it was a good idea to remove all My Pillow products from their shelves because they didn’t like what the owner said? Frankly I thought he could say whatever he wanted and it didn’t matter if I agreed with him or not. I never shopped at BB&B again and look at them today. I moved on to Target, and now I’m moving on to Home Goods and Public Square. I can’t be the only one.

I stopped shopping there after their woke move to ban My Pillow -- and I don't even own a My Pillow product - just weary of these big boxes trying to dictate what's "approved" or not. Anyway, there was nothing of interest at the BB&B -- only 20% but everything appears to have been marked up because even with the 20% off, the prices were same or higher as I've seen in other stores. I guess they'll go out with last chance to grab the money while they can.

1) Because America's "equality" laws say that when one employee bullies another, the *company* is legally responsible unless it has taken "reasonable steps" to educate employees against such behaviour. Reasonable steps include hiring DEI officers, and these officers then need to justify their huge salaries by drawing up lists of banned words, and initiatives like this.
2) An extremely large amount of investor capital (aka shareholders) is owned by pension schemes, particularly of trade unions and state governments, and these institutions often have rules requiring that they only invest in companies with a high ESG score - which is obtained by initiatives like this.

At the start of this controversy Target stock was valued at $160.96/share. In less than a week it dropped to $141.76/share.That amounts to a 12% drop and a whopping $9 billion off the company’s market capitalization.
Now here comes the fun part:
Target had a total revenue of $25+billion with a net profit of $950 million during their last quarter. Meaning, in less than a week, they lost almost 9x their value that they made all of last year. OUCH...that has gotta hurt.

At the start of this controversy Target stock was valued at $160.96/share. In less than a week it dropped to $141.76/share.That amounts to a 12% drop and a whopping $9 billion off the company’s market capitalization.
Now here comes the fun part:
Target had a total revenue of $25+billion with a net profit of $950 million during their last quarter. Meaning, in less than a week, they lost almost 9x their value that they made all of last year. OUCH...that has gotta hurt.
