    What an indictment against the welfare system. It throws people away.

      Hi Kathryn and welcome! I barely scratched the surface. It took me forever to make because I felt myself physically backing up from my keyboard as I put this video together remembering the horror I witnessed. Tenants who tried to use the system to improve their lives had their lives made a living hell by so many people who abused the programs. These people did more partying than anyone I ever went to college with seven days a week of it. Music blasting till 4 in the morning. The way they treat each other is far worse than the abuse of the system. There are potential answer! I will need your help in adding on to my ideas of app/web based role models in the next show. I hope you can add your comments and ideas?

      @@solvingpolitics3172 Hi there. Sounds almost traumatusing what you witnessed.
      Well let me put this out there, 'the system', not the people are a large part of the problem. If you treat people as if they are not capable by doing everything for them and giving everything to them in a plate, then slowly they lose their confidence, become bored, angry, mentally and physically Ill and lose the skills they had. Goals slowly disaopear, then their purposre, evejtually their life becomes meaningles.
      However, there are those that are resilient and very ambitious who will pull themselves up and get out and get on. But it takes an awful lot of determination and focus to do this whilst in a negative environment.

      What a fantastic comment Kathryn! I hope everybody reads it. Yes it is the system and a few people manage to escape it but very few. Indeed few had any ambition by the time the got to me. Yes this was traumatizing putting together. By the way, what you got was the sanitized version believe it or not. The no knock raids, the shootings, the huge establishment of poverty enablers who did nothing but buy into the excuses of the people on these programs. They all thought they were Mother Teresa! The social workers were trained better than seals at sea world. The people on the programs had them trained to come running so fast. Legal aid came running, the courts almost always bought into the tenants excuses. When a tenant found a better unit and did not want to honor a lease they would just keep kicking holes in the unit until you let them out of it. Good luck in collecting damages from people who don't work. I had one tenant who actually inherited his family members housing voucher after refusing to take him to the hospital ( he died) and then going to the section-8 office and continuing on the program. When I would do an eviction there would be alcohol bottles everywhere, cigarette butts everywhere, used condoms left laying around. Discarded children's toys, ( they always had plenty of new toys, no idea where they came from). I think the prisons must give lessons on how to manipulate these single moms with multiple kids. It was laterally a non stop parade of felons in these women's lives. People always asked me: "Who are the toughest people to deal with on these programs." Meaning what race, ethnicity, etc. I always gave them the same answer. " You will ruin anyone, sooner rather than later with these programs." Looking forward to your comments on part-2. I believe I have developed a template for a "system" for handling some of these issues and beyond but a lot is going to depend on what people like yourself can add to it. Thanks again for your excellent comment!

    Section 8 saved my mom and helped her become happier and healthier. Sometimes the system works like it was intended. But a majority of the time I think it is just abused and does more harm than good.

    • @solvingpolitics3172
      @solvingpolitics3172  5 років тому +2

      I would agree with your statement. Yes, some people do use these programs as intended. However in the 21st century we can do a lot better. In the next show I will be talking about what can be done to fix this permanently. I hope I can count on people like yourself for contributing ideas?

      Maybe so for some but not all. The bottom line is that once we start going app/web based the difference between trying to uplift and not become a lot easier to achieve. If I for example was of low intelligence and never had a chance versus being presented with options online with consistency and persistency then it becomes my problem for not choosing a better way! Either way I think you will find when we get into this on the next show that it "may" be easier to motivate, inspire, teach and reinforce a healthy way of life than you might think.

      Fantastic question! The short answer is that I have no power to introduce sanctions, I am not the head of Housing and Urban Development, even if I was I believe this is about using political offense versus defense. Almost everything people do is reacting to a situation....defense. Offense is to try and make sure the problem never arises in the first place or is greatly reduced. I love offense, nobody is being pro active!
      What you and I do have is the power to create an app/web based inspirational world full of cradle to grave role models and mentors to head off so many problems before they arise. You can wait for a child to drop out of school and then react (defense) or you can start a child from the youngest of ages with successful role models and mentors and blogging and podcasts with his peers who have overcome these challenges to serve as inspiration. Yes I know it is the parents responsibility but this is to enhance their efforts, not replace it.
      You me and anyone else really gets the easier of the jobs we get to be non-stop positive reinforcement, ( a lot of this content is out their, we just need to copy and paste it). With this approach we are farmers, we are not hunters. It will take time to grow but when it is out there, it is there forever. You don't have to worry about winning elections or politicians letting you down. It is something that good hearted caring people can do from their living room once it goes viral. We all contribute in our own way no matter how big or small. Maybe i.e. there is an older lady who is really good at inexpensive, healthy cooking. She could have her own show tied into this channel/website. Someone else who is good with conflict resolution has their own show or just articles they find online tied in to that issue. You piece together dozens, hundreds, thousands of these things and you have healthy way of life. Something my tenants have never had. By the way this is a concept than can be adapted for many different issues, topics and problems for all socioeconomic classes. What are your thoughts?

      @@solvingpolitics3172 When I was working around many of these folks at a pharmacy and I would say 25% need help and 25% were convinced they needed it and the rest bragged about "Gettin' over on the man!"

      Again, welcome and thank you for your service! As far as your experience I think that is fairly standard. I can see 25% needing help but at least in the program I worked inside they almost never received it. They just had their bills paid for life. We really can do soo much better. I believe I am onto something with web/app based solutions but it will be about 1% my inspiration and about 99% people like you helping plug in different ideas to create an online/virtual guidance and inspiration for people. Check out this guy ( 60 second video) who I plan on featuring, Rod Demery. Please tell me what you think of how he made something so productive out of the most unfortunate of circumstances:

    ONe thing I wish they'd teach kids would be how to plant and raise your own food. Teach people how to live on their own, from a young age, if the need came. Sort of the way that the native Americans knew how to find food efficiently & survive. (I read a small part of the book *_Tribe_* by Sebastian Junger.)

    • @solvingpolitics3172
      @solvingpolitics3172  5 років тому +2

      That could be a skill taught to kids. Even if he/she never used it, what a great way to teach them self reliance. Someone who had expertise or even just ideas in this area could post how to videos online for the kid to learn from. Just one of many things that could help their self esteem and teach them good skills. Less chance of them being lost or getting into trouble. In our next show I am going to talk about a healthy web/app based way of life starting from the youngest of ages. There are soo many skills, role models, positive reinforcement that a child or adult could learn from. Here is one that blows me away. We don't hand 16 year olds drivers licenses and say go crash a few cars then come back in ten years and we will teach you how to drive. So why do we let teenagers get involved in the dating world or relationships without proper training? I am talking in addition to what their parents may or may not do. We have a whole T.V. channel (The Discovery I.D. Channel, a.k.a. the homicide channel) dedicated to a lot young people who got involved with the wrong type of person and it was the last mistake they made on this earth. I can not believe that short videos or whatever from people teaching people good judgement skills could not help! The younger you start a kid the easier this would be. I really believe if you get a kid surrounded early enough by a virtual healthy app/web based world you can avoid soo many of the perils in life. What do you think?

    • @solvingpolitics3172
      @solvingpolitics3172  5 років тому +1

      Firstly, welcome! Yes there are a lot of good videos already. They need to be "packaged" per the minor differences & needs between different demographics and then distributed. At first it would need to be more personal contact. Church's, community centers, government buildings where people on these programs congregate. Very quickly this would go viral. This would take volunteering to a whole new level because almost everyone has some form of expertise they can teach the rest of us. Now they can contribute their piece online, as part of a greater whole. Do you see what I am getting at?

      Growing your own food actually starts with what the housing complex/area allows.
      Where I lived in an apartment complex, they accepted section 8 residents, but it wasn't soley inclusive to Sec. 8.
      As per lease agreement for anyone, no one was allowed to grow plants or food outside their home because everyone was renting from the complex itself.
      There was an exception made to one resident, but that was because they were African immigrants on a special immigrant program and it was part of their culture to grow their own food and they had legal paperwork to prove it.
      I got to admit they were real resourceful people and they really made use of the housing system that they were on by using the little space that they had and trying to get ahead.
      It was literally a small 3 square feet of space right outside their door and they were growing corn! Corn husks and all! Big and tall. They did make the residents trim it down so that it can be never taller to obstruct the view of their window though.

I am soo frustrated that no one is doing anything more than whining from the sidelines. These are not that hard a problems to solve or at least improve. I will be out with my part-2 shortly. @@solvingpolitics3172 I found your channel from one of your comments on ABL's channel about the right just whining. That is not a phrase I have heard before, and almost everyone says the same things in exactly rhe same ways. You have originality, which is rare. I watched most of your videos yesterday and I plan to watch them all.
      I hope you do videos on what to do to combat feminism and the LGBTQabcdefgptsd. Where I live it isn't as bad as many other places. Abortion is illegal and girls have to wear skirts to school (and boys can not.) I am sure some leftists are going to try to come 'liberate' us, or a special snowflake is going to raise a stink, and without laws and policies in place a left-leaning school teacher or doctor could give the clown world hedgeway. We all have internet access so we are already watching 'woke' media.
      I was thinking of writing school officials and politicians to suggest policies and laws to protect us. I was also thinking we need some children's clubs, similar to girl scouts, that teach traditional morals, values and worldview.

    Seriously? This is all you think the "right" is capable of as far as thinking is concerned? We on the right are aware of social costs and welfare benefits, we on the "right" have been speaking out against welfare destroying families for decades. You must be referring to Ben Shapiro quick rebuttal punch of how not to be poor. Now notice that his rebuttal was how not to be poor or how to get out of poverty, it was however not comparing or talking about what welfare system does to families, and welfare is how poverty is calculated in the US.

      samuils I don’t listen to Ben Shapiro. Like all rightwing commentators they just whine from the sidelines with zero plans to solve any problems.
      Secondly, Republicans would not be caught dead in the minority community.
      2. Republicans never pay attention to the needs of minority communities. ( Trump is better but one guy is not a political party). They are to busy trying dumping older white people’s list of problems on the minority community. They never learned to shut the mouth & open the ears.
      3. They are way too busy being condescending to the minority community. ( They are going to TEACH minorities about conservatism).
