I suppose the argument for the comms and the overall more competitive environment of the match is that everyone is like 'But my teammates are bad' and this gives you a full team of good teammates, who get in comms, who are the skill you think you're at, and try. Like I feel like this is what everyone should be like tbh

Wow, impressive to see how your team support you. Solo tanks tower for you, they all share info over chat.
Every ranked game I've played noone ever cares, noone is ever gonna tank a tower for you to get the last 10hp, if I'm support usually the carry starts feeding when I'm leaving him, if I tank tower, no carry or jgl ever goes for the kill (so all dmg I tank is lost sustain). If I jungle, I'm matched with 3 feeding lanes and they all blame jungle for their failures.
What you show is not what I experience in ranked games at all. Maybe the guys in the other team get the experience I have in ALL ranked games, most of the ppl overengage.
I believe elo hell does exist, it's just much much rarer than people say, getting an eli hell situation requires very bad luck and not much else

I'm stuck in diamonds because I'm a solo main I must change my role to carry. Sometimes I get low plats in my team and they got rolled while I'm homeless lol

I've always been baffled by pro-players who confidently state that ELO hell doesn't exist. Smite is a game where you all win together or lose together. If you are actually a significant higher rank, like one of the top in the world, and play with scrubs at beginner ranks, then hard carrying is totally viable. But what happens when you're appropriately a high gold player stuck in bronze or low silver because while you are consistently better than the teams you get placed with, you're not good enough to solo hard carry 4 idiots actively working against you every game in order to go positive in ELO? Wins and Loses are team-wide and contribute heavily to your ranking in Smite. One player going 20-1 and still losing is going to take a hit to their score.
Ranks don't really matter, except they do help determine what quality of teams you're going to get. I've experienced it myself. I don't typically play ranked, but I've had master-ranked friends who do say if I did actually I'd very easily place in diamond. But when I hopped into rank one year, my placement matches had 8 teammates leave across all 5 matches, typically before first tower even fell. I ended up placing in bronze after those 5 matches. After a few more matches with absolutely terrible teammates who were seemingly afk more than in lane, I stopped playing rank and never touched it since. In fact, that year was the last year I consistently played smite since. I've played and kept up with diamond and masters players in casual lobbies for years. Am I just trash at the game? Except you know, in every other game mode outside of ranked conquest? Or does your team as a whole actually impact the game more than an individual in the majority of situations? If I win lane am up on levels, but both other lanes are lost, and 3 of my teammates are bickering in fountain refusing to play because everyone else is bad, am I the one that's at fault?
ELO Hell exists, because Smite is a game where the team as a whole wins or loses together. The farther away from the center you are stuck on the bell curve, the farther on the opposite end of the bell curve you need to be to be able to single-handedly pull yourself up in ranks. A gold player hardstuck in bronze is going to struggle to get out of bronze more than a diamond player hardstuck in bronze, because the skill disparity is wider. But a plat player hardstuck in silver is going to have an easier time getting out of it than the gold player stuck in bronze, because the lower you go, the harder you have to compensate for poor teammates.
Finding a duo to queue with skews proper ranking, because it's no longer what rank you are at, because you are no longer the common factor in the games, your duo is. So if your solution is to just play with someone else, understand that your rank is going to be the ELO of your duo, not you. This can work for getting out of ELO hell, but it still doesn't make ELO hell non-existent.
That's the issue with this approach to the series: If you have a 10 man pre-made, and everyone is taking it seriously, it doesn't properly reflect an individual's appropriate ELO, nor does it appropriately reflect actual in-game situations. It's all fabricated. You should take an account that is already that level the individual thinks they are at, and have them play ranked on it to get a proper feel for the real scenarios that players would actually face playing in game. No pre-made lobbies, no pre-planned groups taking the match seriously. Just an actual, realistic match at that level with a player who thinks they should be at that level on their main account but is not.

Elo Hell absolutely exists. It's just also used as a lame excuse by bad players. Them being wrong doesn't make it non existent.
Me and a friend used to play ranked Joust a lot and had this exact problem. Placement matches with bad players placed us in Bronze 5. As a two man team with a rando fighting three man teams was almost impossible. It's as simple as the third person not showing up to team fights at all.
But there are other things as well. For example on that level you encounter a lot of weird team compositions that are kinda bad and easy to counter. If the third person would have counterbuilt even after asking him to. I'm talking 3 mages, 1 hunter and 2 assassins, 3 guardians, ...
After a while our placement matches got us into high silver to low Gold territory and we always ended up around Gold 1 when it did. But even afterwards if we got unlucky and got placed in Bronze in a later season, we were never really able to escape the Bronze tier.
Ok, but what about as a duo lane player, solo queued? Does elo hell exist for support mains who literally depend on other players to have brains?

there is such a thing as elo hell, i get matched with a bunch of bots who feed and go 1 and 10 while i go 13 and 2 and seem t be the only person on a team of 5 that half competent at the game, while the other team is all deecent
