Ah yes, exploring the map is really the best part, for me it started early with the need for research books and ended similar to the goals in the video, after defeating slavers, catlon and every faction I didn't like. Nothing better than looking on the map "I wonder what is on that island?" running there and fight fishman, or finding the armour king for the first time, or dealing with the holy nation, as they attacked your hiver with robo limbs (I didn't know, blind playthrough c: ) The map is BIG and full of lore and locations (and beak things. Many beak things) My advice for training people: snatch a good fighter after a base raid, put him inside, give him a wakasashi and block with polearms. 80 block in no time (found it out experimenting). In fact the "training dummy" got so strong after time, that he nakedly defeated 8/10 of my elite group XD Good series, I think new players get really useful information from it!

Hello Modish! Great guide, really well made! I have a tip on how you can recruit one more "special" skeleton. If I remember correctly, there is a P4 unit who is a drifter in either "Drifter's Last" or "Clownsteady" Now that skeleton you can't talk to and ask them to join (there may be a slight chance but can't remember) Either way, to recruit him you can kidnap him, sell him to slavers, buy him out, and walk away from the slave trader outpost. After a while he will either say "Thank you" and run away OR he will join your squad. I think there is a lot of content you can make on no man's sky. You could take the same approach as you did with kenshi or you can deliver one that focuses on each of the core mechanics (survival/exploration/base building/freighters/missions). That being said - you should not feel like you absolutely NEED Edgewalkers quality gear - if you can't afford it - Skeleton Smiths is still fine for most things, and Catun Scrapmasters will also be enough for your daily needs and even most of the tougher enemies - maybe except Second Empire skellies and skin bandits. The exception to this rule are ranged weapons - beyond training, when you want the shoddiest junkbow possible, you want the top quality - but fortunately, masterwork bows are generally relatively easy to come by - and they make some massive difference. Bottom line - don't sleep on ranged weapons, just make sure you have your guys trained with friendly fire, and your frontliners wearing some solid head and body protection.

Just thought about something. Recruit a dude, send him to comit a lot of crime, get a huge bounty on his head. Pick him up, dismiss him from squad, deliver him to jail. '-'
I went into the scrap house with 5 guys and stole all of the 35k and 25k weapons+ ai cores. I’m still pretty much at the beginning. Like 40days in, I think. Have my original character, a hive prince, as a thief. He’s at around 68, with my armor- on.
EVADE THE SWAMP. I find the monsters are doable. But those loading times, well they are definitely not doable :P I killed all bosses. Stack your bank account. Than just train a lot on other people and get good gear. Healer in the back perhaps, that is what I always do. So that a defeat does not convey a load screen. On the base what I like to do is make two segments. The first part is where you can enter with an entrance accompanied with turrets :) There are some house there and most of creation -> research, blacksmith etc. In the segment behind it I will build my farm. Closed off by a gate and also turrets. They will make all the food. At times I will open the gate and transfer some food to the other side. If I left my first gate open, than most often attacks will not get to that second gate, since the ai often thinks this will lead them outside the base. Especially if that second segment is on a cliff / none walkable area. A farm is for sure needed. I personally have that up and running even before all the walls are placed. As long as the second segment is closed off, all is good. You want to closed that often because of wildlife btw ;) Bandits can loot the house up till than. I often do not care nor want to waste time on dealing with it. As long as they leave I am ok. Since sometimes this little happy bug applies when they don't leave. Ninjas........

Just my 2 cents, the best and most optimal way to make money in Kenshi is being a thief. Take what you can, give nothing back. It's a pirates life for me :D Money will be no problem, a bounty just brings in too few cats to be worth going to all that trouble unless they're near by just be a murder hobo to level your stats and rob people blind to make cats.
Wanted to share quite the hack to upgrade strength, martial arts, and toughness once you’re able to make your own skeleton repair bed: 1) unlock the skin peeler machine 2) create the skin peeler machine in your base 3) capture any skeleton, but preferably a skeleton with high stats/toughness 4) throw the skeleton in the peeler machine, but take them out as soon as theyve lost all their limbs (that way theyre still alive, but limbless) 5) equip a wooden backpack full of ores, martial art rags for martial arts recoil reduction, and equip some other armor that reduces martial arts (Note do not equip assassins rags which completely nullifies martial arts recoil - you will NOT gain toughness XP if you do) 6) put that limbless skeleton on the robot repair bed 7) go to town on that ever-regenerating, defenseless skeleton and watch your toughness, strength, and martial arts skyrocket (dex too but to a milder extent since overencumbered)
Please make more kenshi guides bro. These are awesome!

Honestly, if you have a base youre already literally printing money
skeleton Jakku in burns area
Just my 2 cents, the best and most optimal way to make money in Kenshi is being a thief. Take what you can, give nothing back. It's a pirates life for me :D Money will be no problem, a bounty just brings in too few cats to be worth going to all that trouble unless they're near by just be a murder hobo to level your stats and rob people blind to make cats.
Wanted to share quite the hack to upgrade strength, martial arts, and toughness once you’re able to make your own skeleton repair bed:
1) unlock the skin peeler machine
2) create the skin peeler machine in your base
3) capture any skeleton, but preferably a skeleton with high stats/toughness
4) throw the skeleton in the peeler machine, but take them out as soon as theyve lost all their limbs (that way theyre still alive, but limbless)
5) equip a wooden backpack full of ores, martial art rags for martial arts recoil reduction, and equip some other armor that reduces martial arts
(Note do not equip assassins rags which completely nullifies martial arts recoil - you will NOT gain toughness XP if you do)
6) put that limbless skeleton on the robot repair bed
7) go to town on that ever-regenerating, defenseless skeleton and watch your toughness, strength, and martial arts skyrocket (dex too but to a milder extent since overencumbered)
Personally i think this game is best played as a villian. Just a solo terrorist wreaking havoc to the world.
Ive solod this game cause im a nerd
there is no real "endgame" to kenshi. You can do ANYTHING you want and set up goals when you feel like you have reached a goal.
Akshually
I want to see how to convert cities to other factions that I have never done and I’m afraid to break the game doing something wrong. :)
