Loved seeing this video. Her Grace is the reason that Chatsworth has been saved throughout the years. I admired her so. May she RIP.

The duchess was an exceptional character, like all her Mitford sisters.

She was the reason, but always denied it.

The Cavendish family all seem so very kind. I have seen various films about them and whenever this and the current Duke give a speech they always seem genuinely grateful to those who have come to join them and also their staff who work for them.

We can still learn a lot from these wonderful older couples by their devotion and loyalty to each other and the importance of tradition in families.

What a sweetheart bunch! These were the War Generation who carried on doing the ordinary human things like love & marriage despite the desperate times in which they lived.

OMG talk about memory lane! This is fantastic! Believe it or not as children in Catholic school in the USA we used to sing all of these old band songs in performances on stage for our parents! Very enjoyable.

The late Duke and Duchess of Devonshire seemed a lovely couple. Their interview is a real gem. I've several of Debo's books, it's nice to hear their voices. Incidentally, anyone know the band(s) playing?

Looking at the emblem on the banners I would guess Bakeware town band.

Pam, Debos sister, can be seen from 45:40. She lived in Woodfield house, appearantly close to Caudle Green or Brimsfield, Glouchester. Anyone who can find it on the googe earth map?

Bad music choice. I have to turn it down to enjoy the film. So loud, can't hear the birds.

Sorry, I did not put the music on, it was made with the music in the background, I do agree with you, I believe it stops later on but can't remember!

It's a brass band rendition of themes by Gilbert and sullivan, seems rather cheery
