Beautiful. Maybe someday... A week ago I also bought one, but a Stratocaster. (40th ANNIVERSARY Gold Anodized). Regards!
I Got Antique White One Love it!
It Has Real Binding ,
I Saw One in a Store that Had Been Trashed By a Customer and the Chipped it Near the Binding !
Its Real!
Yeah, I think someone mentioned that the binding was real in the comments. A nice cosmetic feature, especially considering the price!
Hello David, I am delighted with the quality and thoughtfulness of the packaging of this instrument and watched the unpacking with interest. This is not irony at all. I give the engineer who came up with this cardboard layout 10 out of 10.
I know! The packaging is well done!
this is the best looking telecaster for afordable price i was fighting with myself how much should i spend on my "coming back to playing guitar" guitar and i couldnt justify spending more the bare minimum for a playable guitar because i barely remember how to play anything but god damn, i need to buy this one its just so damn good looking.
The wood and color really is nice on this one. I almost bought a red one, but I think this color is a lot nicer.
I had one of these for a while. I called the color "IKEA Bookshelf Brown". I liked it, but just wanted something else. Quality build. Sounded great. No complaints. Just wanted another more is all.
What was the "more" you were looking for?
@@anotherheadlessdemo I just meant to say there was nothing wrong with the guitar, in any way, just my tastes at the time were running in a different direction, so I sold it and bought something else. It's exactly what you would want in a budget Tele, and I would not be shocked if I owned another one someday, maybe the white one instead.
I can't wait for the full review
It's available now!
This is one of the best Squier Teles I have ever tried. Love that neck and the sound it is just like a Tele. Sonething special about these.
Yes, the neck is really nice!
Watched another review where the guy did a teardown, and the first thing he checked was if the binding was real or fake....... it was real !
I know a lot of reviews say the bridge pickup is great but they're not happy with the neck pickup. I have the blond version and love it. Got mine used for $310.
And also saw reviews where they say it's a 2023. Well it's not. They were only made in 2022. If it's a 2023 then it's not a 40th anniversary model.
Do you have any problems with the bridge pickup being microphonic?
Got lucky enough to get a demo blonde Tele for around 325 and liked it so much I picked the vintage burst strat about a week later. The neck on both are just about perfect, best 650 I’ve spent in a while😁!
Very nice!
It is a real binding
Yes. Real binding!
David Niles nice Squier 🙌🙌✌
It's pretty, isn't it?!
Looks great and it has that signature Tele twang. Squier has definitely upped their game! With a few upgrades this could be sold for hundreds more as a MIM Fender Player model.
Totally agree!
What upgrades would you do to make it up to standards? If you could specific manufacturer parts?
Pickups - maybe. I've been gigging with it this weekend and found the bridge pickup to be microphonic. It was picking up all kinds of extraneous noise. After dissing the neck pickup, I'm finding that I like how it sounds, and not microphonic at all. Everything else is fine as is - at least for now.
on amazon prime day they were deeply discounting this series of squier. i was tempted to get the stratocaster (2 tone burst).
I noticed that Sweetwater was sold out of several of the 40th Anniversary models a couple of days after I ordered mine. Sometimes Pro Audio Star has open box or used models on their website. They go pretty fast though.
Nice video. Hot telecaster.
Thanks!
I have this exact guitar, another UA-camr did a teardown of his and he seemed to think that it was real binding.
That's interesting. It's kind of hard to tell but I'm not surprised.
I can’t believe how good that guitar looks for being under 300
Amazing, isn't it?
it sounds really nice! let us know how you get on with it. thanks!
Thanks, I will!
damn i wonder if its posible to get the "binding" removed and to get the edged in the same colour as the whole body (for me) the guitar would look even better then.
Good question. No idea what's behind the binding.
It’s binding for what that’s worth.
Yes, apparently it is real binding.
Is it a heavy guitar? These classic vibes have a reputation of been HEAVY in weight.
It's 7 lbs 10 oz. My Vintera Telecaster is 7 lbs 15 oz.and my Fender Strat is 7 lbs 16 oz. I gigged with Jazzmasters for a while and those are well over 8 lbs. So the Squier Tele seems pretty light to me!
I am stuck between buying the Dakota red version and this version, I guess it could end up being a coin tosss.
I almost went with the red, but this one was available at a reduced price. I really like the wood grain so I'm glad I got this one.
@@anotherheadlessdemo I can buy any of them from Thomann in Germany for £259 and free delivery to the UK, up until 2 weeks ago I could buy the red one from Andertons in the UK for £245 but they are out of stock now, I guess I am going to have to make my mind up before they are all sold, I have another spanner in the works though, I bought the Harley Benton Fusion T 25th Aniversary but its not a traditional Tele but they also do a 25th Aniversary as a traditional Tele, it is better specced than the Squier but only available in the Firemist gold colour, I guess its now gone from a coin toss to a names in the hat situation, or order all three and keep the one I like and send the other 2 back, the thing is though I know I will like all three of them!
Not a fan of the "aged" controls.
Aged anything isn't everyone's thing, that's for sure. These really don't look like they aged naturally, but instead thrown into a blender. :)
i think they might be lightly sandblasted..i have the sonic blue vintage strat, yeah would have prefered shiny chrome..oh well, just glad it's not reliced
