6 Years later, and I still come back to wonder what could've been. God, I miss playing Primal Carnage and Extinction. I had too many great memories as the Pterodactyl, and the sound design in those games was great for the dinosaurs. Still one of my favorite T-Rex roars alongside Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter.
Why not play now ? There is an exciting road map for extinction currently.

There is something about this T-rex roar that I absolutely love... sounds fucking amazing. I don't know how they made it but I've always wondered what animal in the animal kingdom made that noise.
It isn't one animal. There is no single animal that makes a sound like that. They took what they did for Jurassic Park.
They combined an elephant, a lion, and a crocodile.

Every t-rex roar in everything since Jurassic Park has been the same thing. They only sound different enough to evade a lawsuit.

The PC roar sounds more like what Michael Crichton described it to be. "A scream from another world." I wish the movie had this.
who else remembers seeing this trailer and being so hyped for its release and now to come to this trailer to cry about how it will never release cause the dev teams split up :(
im here in 2019 and this game still hasn’t released. i remember my 12 year old self being so hyped for this game, just for it to never come out.

This game never happened. The developers split up and as a result we now have "The Isle" which was released before it was finished to help support the game and the developers of "The Isle" split up and so we have in a branch of the developers from "The Isle" developing their own game titled "The Path of Titans" that has not been released. Interesting how Primal Carnage started something and it is still going hey :D

I used to play this game all the time. Maybe 3-5 years ago, I was really young. At Christmas, my dad bought me Primal Carnage: Extinction after I asked so much, also because I love Dinosaurs and space so much (look at my username.) I really liked it. He also got PSPlus so I could play. Unfortunately he only had it for a while, and also, I think because of bills, he pawned my PS4, and didn’t say anything, it broke my heart a lot. We got the PlayStation back but with no PSPlus and I played for the next year with games I didn’t like. Then the next year he lost his home. I go to my moms every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, then go to my dads on the other days, and it’s flipped every week. (They’re divorced.) My dad now lives in a really bad apartment, and doesn’t have a TV, doesn’t even do dishes he makes or clean his own messes and gets mad at us for not doing them, because all the messes and dishes are disgusting. It’s just a weird shift of life. Reminds me of a clearer life I took for granted and barely made any memories in.

Update on Primal Carnage: Genesis from the primal website moderator 'Achillobator' - "Primal Carnage has gone through some staff changes since the announcement of Primal Carnage: Genesis, and the PS4 announcement was made under different management. It was realized how busted the base game's code is (among other things), and attention was shifted to that out of sheer necessity. The new staff can't really do anything about what the old management said. That's all the information I can give regarding this, a dev would have say anything further.
I am of the personal opinion (I'm not speaking for all of LWM) that PC:G should have only been announced when it was very near to being complete, but that's me, and there's nothing to be done for it now."

If this thing is Far Cry 3 with Dinosaurs, then this thing will blow the multiplayer Primal Carnage out of the water.

1:23 The rex was going crazy and I just love how they decided to put it in a glass container with and put it under water and attach an inhaler.
It still cracks me up that this place has the worst security ever for holding some of the most large and dangerous living animals that ever lived.
No security guards, no surveillance, not even scientists just working, just one slow ceiling mounted taser and look how that turned out xD
Its a little silly but the trailer still gives me goosebumps. Hopefully the game will turn out as good as the trailer depicts it to be.

+Rudyonyx not necessarily, the company that bought lukewarm after they went bankrupt a decent amount of the team went to the new company which owns rights to Primal Carnage, thus is why extinction is a thing, they could still make genesis.

Primal Carnage: Extinction is still being updated as of this month, October, 2019. They aren’t dead, and have apologized for their absence and will even be including game fixes, new maps, and CTE again. This game will not come out due to the Developers separating. The Isle and Primal Carnage are linked together, but the Developers sought new ideas and parted. If you still want to support the game (Primal Carnage: Extinction) I’d suggest still playing it on PC, spread the word its back, and go on Steam, Twitter, or their FaceBook and help them out or support them so we can keep the game alive. It’s not over.

t rex wasn't as good a predator as shown in movies and whatnot. his head was massive which weighed him down as he ran which suggests he was more of a scavenger. according to a documentary i saw once
Tommy gun Scavenger theory was debunked years ago, they found several Triceratops and Edmontosaurus remains with healed bite marks from T. rex.
Also to answer your question yes T. rex could probably break those cuffs if they were just steal. If not then it could probably bite the chain and crush it freeing itself.

Wrong. Dinosaurs only attack based on instinct. They are not evil in anyway.
The T-Rex in the trailer was trying to escape, which it did. The only reason it destroyed that mechanical arm that tried to electrocute it was because it acted on instinct, not evil intent. Besides, T-Rex is naturally aggressive to anyone or anything that provokes it.
Like I said, dinosaurs (especially carnivores) are not evil, they're instinctive.

That's exactly what it was doing, except it wasn't afraid. It was curious, a Tyrannosaur is not used to fear or having anything to worry about besides Triceratops and other deadly herbivores. It really does think it "owns the place". It displaying animal instinct, curiosity. It tied to see what the electric shock robot- thing would do. It got hurt, so it fought back, seeing it as a potential threat.

Primal Carnage: Extinction is the worst on PS4. No updates, no new skins, bugs, errors and connection problem, I tried to contact the owner on Facebook to messenger and still didn't respond, this game needs to fully fix and updates because this game is nearly abandoned, I remember I loved that game it brings memories from videos and from now am still playing it, please for god sake fix the errors and connection problems, you can't abandon the best dinosaur game like that, your losing players slowly

Currently Lukewarm Media are working on a mega patch for their current title Primal Carnage. To the point of they've built the entire game back up from scratch. They started working on it last year and the release is believed to be over the next month or so. After that, work on Genesis should continue

I agree with you. Not sure how fun lands would be playing as dinosaurs. Doesn't seem there would be much strategy involved.
I think multi-player is perfect for playing as dinosaurs though. When you get a group of dinosaurs working together, but you add in human intellect and co-operation... that can be thrilling to combat against.
