I used mine as a campsite rug. It held up well to our camp chairs and tables. LOVED IT! I washed it on gentle cycle and air dried it over the shower rod. AND you just showed me how to get it back into the bag.

I'm glad that you threw the sand and water on the blanket to see what would happen. I think your idea of using it in a layer combination with real beach towel is great. Once the pandemic is over I'm gonna start cruising again and in the Caribbean they like to change you $10 a piece to rent a beach chair. It adds up depending on how many ports you stop at. I'm looking for portable options I can put in my suitcase. This seem great.
Wish u talked about or tested washing it. That is kinda a concern of mine but for 40 dollars I don't think it would really matter. Funny I think I could find other uses for the product than just the beach. Is it a better tarp than a tarp
I wash mine in the washing machine after each use. I typically line dry afterward. As for a tarp, this would be a good cover against sun light but water would go right through it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍

there is nothing worse than sand on a blanket. I was so excited when I found this sand proof blanket. I bought another one to have a larger space next year.

How does it feel when you lay on it? would you feel any temperature difference than laying on a beach towel? Is there a smaller size for 2 people?

I can do this by shaking a regular blanket too....
I am anti-sand at the beach...this parachute type material doesn't let sand stick to it. that is a plus for me.
