I am loving the app but I would request whether you could add a way for us to change the colour of the stitches we have placed in the app. I am struggling to see which symbols I need to do if they are a light colours etc. Yes it can be nice having the same colours as the pattern but after a while it really does your eyes in so to have a way we can choose just one final colour would be very helpful. Is this possible? Or is it already available? 😊 ps I’m using this for a customisable cross stitch pattern I got from thread-bare and doing a diamond painting.
I’m a little frustrated at present as my patterns have just vanished from my account and on the app I’m in the middle of a cross stitch conversion event. How do I get them back?
We've already prototyped importing 3rd party PDFs and have it on our TODO list as a high-priority feature to implement into the public app. When it's ready, there won't be anything that designers will need to do to make their patterns compatible - we'll effectively be another type of PDF viewer, just one 100% optimized for rendering and interacting with cross-stitch patterns.
We added support for the most common format of 3rd party PDFs if you want to give it a try. We're working on adding more support for other formats as we go forward.
love this app so much..but.. BUT.. it doesn't seem to save my progress.. I've been working on a HUGE , in depth project.. as soon as I closed it.. I lost all my progress.. so I had to go back and re click each color I'd done.. so I just left the page open..then.. I lost power.. and I was 3/4 done with my project.. turned the computer back on and all my progress was gone.. it's almost enough for me not to use this..I NEED this to be saved .. but it doesn't seem to.. is there something I'm neglecting to do? I asked this question once in the beginning and was told to wait for an update..ugh.. so I've finished one large project and I'm starting a new large, in depth project.. I really need to know how to save this stuff.. seriously.. how do I do that?
Can you message me details of the pattern so I can look into it? You can contact us through our facebook page or group: facebook.com/threadbarestitching facebook.com/groups/122508935020347
Just a heads-up for anyone else - be sure to use the app at the link in the video description (thread-bare.app). This is the re-developed version that is much slicker and more robust than the original one on our image-to-pattern conversion site, which is only there for legacy reasons. Any patterns should show up in the new site as long as you sign-in using the same account.
Oops, yeah, it may have helped to include the link, right?! I've added it to the description - you should be able to just go to it from any browser and can add it to the device home-screen (on mobile) so it will look and work exactly as an installable app from an App Store. I'm working on adding prompts into the app itself to make this easier.
Brilliant! and it can be used on the iPad - here I come! Thank you!

We're working on making the display of each thing more customizable (stitched, unstitched, selected et...) by varying the symbol and color opacity.
This looks good! Will you be adding the functionality to mark parked threads?
Yes, we're working on that next

Do designers need to do anything specific to make their patterns compatible?

Would love to be able to upload my PDF patters to use with this app.

Looks great, but where can I find to download the app. Searched in play store for android & App Store for apple iPad, doesn’t come up the app.
