Just out curiosity, am I right thinking that Litherland was once part of Bootle, and boundaries later divided?
I had the impression that Litherland may be the older due to the origin of the name.
I think you might be right.....looking at Bootle golf course as it's now in netherton...I think the boundaries have been changed over the years....wikipedia has more information on the origins of litherland.🙂
