This album is the story of my life. Every song on this album is a different gem. Not one better than the other. They're all crazy amazing. Weight of the World makes me cry still, and this album is constantly playing in my house.

This new song and album is incredible! Seen Creed back in the day, they’re incredible live and many times solo! I suggest if you’re a Creed fan better get your tickets 🎟️ now, shows are selling out! Creed is going to kill it, I can’t wait, got my tickets 🎟️ for Cincinnati and Cleveland shows! Great duet! I know we’re going to get new Creed music, this is a true story about overcoming and truly inspiring others that you to can struggle but make it to the other side! Scott’s going on 8 years of sobriety! Watch Creed come back bigger than ever! Thanks for the Scott reaction🤟🎶🥰

It's funny how a person can't just be Christian and sing about it, they gotta be "Christian Rock". Interesting how that's kinda been Creed's biggest critique over the years, despite their mainstream success. It's the mission of Christians to bring this message to the lost, not to keep it within their own community. It's not exclusionary by definition. Not to mention, it's extremely personal, and personal makes for great music. Don't gotta be "Christian Rock" to sing about being a Christian. Besides, I listen to music from "Christian Bands" that you would have no idea is Christian, some stuff even heavier and edgier than the mainstream (take Norma Jean, for instance). If you don't vibe with a lot of this music just for the lyrical content, you're missing out on some great musicianship, and vice versa.
And this is more of a general statement inspired by that comment and observing the general trend; not saying you guys do this per se.

I remember Scott saying in an interview that he never intended Creed to be Christian rock, but it became that because of the Christian style lyrics he was using in his songs based on his beliefs

@@dreamzeromusicofficial True this. I recall Tremonti said almost as much himself. He would just handle the musical end, and it was up to Scott to write the lyrics, and he chose to write what was personally important to him.

The spiritual element of the lyrics are good part of the reason for their success. Yes they kick ass, but when you go to a Creed show and hear the audience screaming back every word to every song it suddenly makes sense. Saw them 3 weeks ago in Denver and it was incredible.

@@sweetwilliam5150 Yea, but they never intended to convey that in their music, and have said so many times over the years. That was purely Stapp. And most of the Creed haters over the years have cited it as a pejorative that they are “Christian rock”. They likely would have reached even bigger mainstream success without this intentional pigeonholing. Contemporary Christian bands almost never reach the mainstream, and I’ve no doubt many haters had this same intention for Creed.
I just don’t think it should matter what the message is, if you make good music. It shouldn’t negatively impact your reach to the masses, either way, save for preference. As per my preferences, I will definitely agree that Stapp’s lyrics and song meanings are a big part of the music/selling point. But putting it under “Christian rock” DOES hurt it, because even professing Christians don’t listen to music that’s put in that category.

The reason why if reminds you of a star is born is because Dorothy is just singing like Lady Gaga and has no originality, Scott on the other hand his voice is recognisable as his own. Dorothy unfortunately goes from copying one woman to another in everything she does.
