I always thought that the movie was going to be "Steve E. Clarix (also known as Steve) was born in Florida in 1990. From his perspective, he was above average at his scores when he was Grade 2, making him the top 4th student in his class. He moved on to California with his family and Alex (little sister) a decade later. They thought they're going to have fun but all happy moments come to an end. On September 9th, 2001, their hotel was being burned by an army of gangsters who want to rob the place. Brian (Steve's father) tried to let his family escape, but Alex was stuck in the hotel, so the father needs to get pass the gang. He quickly rushed into the burning building as Steve is crying with his mother. After that, they left the scene, believing that Brian died in the burning hotel. Right away, the hotel massively blew up. The explosion was SO enormous that it sent firetrucks and police cars 600ft into the air causing traffic jams. Another decade later, Steve is now a boxer but he failed at the boxing tournament. This leads him to feel awful and depressed about his future self or even worse, he will not get married. Saddened, Steve walks at the park but suddenly he finds a book about Minecraft lying on a wooden bench and a GPS tracker that he didn't notice. He secretly takes the book to his house and go to sleep but 2 robbers appeared in his house to take the book but Steve wakes up on time and starts trying to chase the robbers. Little did he know, he was lured by the robbers by taking him to a secret underground basement in the burned hotel. When Steve finds the basement, he met Notch and teach him about the book and Minecraft. Then Notch takes him to a vertical sleeping machine that takes him to Minecraft to find his father and sister since he thought that they were dead 10 years ago because the hotel got engulfed in flames. Steve sleeps in the vertical sleeping machine and turns his body into a blocky appearance as the machine teleports him into the game. Steve wakes up shocked that he thought that his hands were cut off during the process but actually his hands are invisible. He wakes up in the Minecraft world." kinda stuff.
Let me guess. Alex is a pro at Minecraft since she has been there for a long time and teaches Steve how the world works(like princess peach and Mario) they find their father who revealed to have gone mad and becomes Herobrine when he gets his hands on ultimate power(command block?). They defeated him by making him good and to make sure no one went down the route he went, he watches all Minecraft players and they believed he was a myth. Then at the end of the film, the mom appears, hinting a sequel.
