This video is disturbing on so many levels….those two have no business in healthcare. Callous, incompetent and clearly not able to deliver anything close to resembling adequate care. That poor man needed help and was failed and treated as if he was insignificant. Thank You for sharing …

How are they even able to adequately treat a patient that is face down on a stretcher?! They probably only feel bad (if they do) because he died and now they're being held accountable. As they should. Wow. I get it, we have good days and bad days at our job. It's acceptable, to an extent, and depending on what your job is. But if you don't like people at this level you need to walk away from your job! You can have these thoughts and feelings but you don't show them!!! This is an embarrassment for the medical community and these medics specifically. Way to go Peggy. Seriously she's a WASTE of space!!! Way to go Peter. The officers are not responsible for this at all, EMS is fully responsible here. Way to go killing not only a man in medical need, AND your career.

Excellent video. So sad that the medics weren't seen as unfit before they went on that call. Mr Moore deserved so much better. Just making the decision to go cold turkey and making it to four days showed his commitment to making a huge change in his life . How terribly sad that his plea for help was met with such blatant disrespect and callousness. The police really did try to set his mind at ease and respect him as a human being.
Well done Christy and keep us updated if you see when this goes to trial.

As someone who is disabled due to DV with a resulting spinal injury, when i go to the e.r and mention my pain meds i get an immediate reaction of "are you looking for pain meds?" And despite my pain, i say no because if im there its for symptoms unrelated and i would rather my symptoms be dealt with.
Several times ive called ems for emergency because of covid and ems was amazing, i passed out the last time and the poor guy had to catch my weight and fling me on the stretcher and immediately strap me in but it wasnt malicious at all.
It breaks my heart that not everyone gets compassionate people to help them 😢
This is so hard to watch and im barely half way through

Your video came across my UA-cam timeline and I was tempted to just scroll through. I am absolutely so glad I didn’t! You did an amazing job presenting this case and I can see why you got triggered. The way these so-called EMT’s treated this poor man is beyond revolting. I have to admit that I got pretty upset watching this. I do hope both of them are convicted for his death and have to actually serve time in prison. I also hope that the family sues the mess out of them. This is a tragic situation that never should have happened. I hope and pray that the family can find peace in the midst of this storm they didn’t ask for. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

I was appalled and angry at how Peggy treated this man! Yelling at him and being so mean! I'm not a Medic, but she was clearly out of line and disrespectful! I would have "chewed her up one side and down another" and filed a complaint against her and demand she be fired! As far as Peter goes, he treated this man like a piece of meat the way he put him on the gurney! Even I know that if someone has a hard time breathing, you don't put them face down! They both should be held accountable for their behavior! It only takes a few people to ruin things for everyone else. Shame on them!!

Not even bring the stretcher but the chair at least.
Dignity is so important and there is no excuse for her eye rolls etc. I saw you walk ok but obviously he
can’t now so he’s going to get hurt…. I told a midwife when I was post partum due to bad preeclampsia that I had a migraine (I didn’t know how bad that was) I went unconscious in the shower woke up got on the basics and brought it up to the first midwife I saw as I hated the emergency shower pull. She rolled her eyes told me to be a grown up (19 young looking teen mum). I requested she do my bp no day five you no longer need it. Visusl migraine mixed with a several minutes black out, (probably an ecliptic fit and not a faint but 19uo me was clueless ) she pre judged me as a irresponsible teenager who didn’t care about my tiny baby. My bp the night before was high 170/75 ish so asking was the correct question. I didn’t get help till pm where I was 150/220 at that point I was going back to the monitor ward. I asked to pee and was told do not move, the night staff were so scared that going to pee would make my bp worse. preconceived notions are so harmful. Looking back I didn’t faint I likely had a little seizure. It just shows how having preconceived options on any patient is risky. If I had passed away, it would’ve been her fault, but there would’ve been no note showing that she denied care. She would’ve got away with it and I doubt she’d haves realised what she had done. I’ve fainted outside of my house and bee treated better by shop staff better. they will. bring me a chair and water not roll eyes like I’m a dramatic child.
    I hate this so much.

While this is indeed sickening to watch, I disagree with your conclusion that he threw down the strap with any kind of f u attitude. The tightening was definitely excessive. Stopping drinking should not be a capital offense. Just like (with Elijah) walking home should not be a capital offense. Just like (with George) using a counterfeit bill should not be a capital offense. Is there *anything* that can turn the tide of the injustice Americans are perpetrating on each other?

Former EMT and your comment about putting a hand on their shoulder and talking softly hit it on the head.
So many patients just need a little kindness to make the situation feel much better to them. I can't tell you how many did not even have a medical problem, they just needed human compassion. Even for the ones that did have serious medical issues.
Compassion is a very powerful "medicine".

I am only at 17.53 and steam is pouring out of my ears.
I’ve had a lot of trauma from hc workers but not paramedics. This is brutal to me patients are not pets or children not that you’d guess as she sounds like she’s angry his room needs tiding and had an invisible friend not a hallucinating patient going through DTs. My bil is an ex paramedic (possibly a functional alcoholic) I’m sure his career added to his smoking and drinking he was a paramedic in Glasgow in the 70 on so lots of overdoses, bottling and he did his job. Now he is Ill (oral cancer) and if I heard anyone talk to him like this I’d be irate. I’m angry at her I don’t think shouting at a patient is ever ok, it helps no one if you’re going to treat him like a kid at least remember parents ask nice first then get on their level to speak you do not shout at a very scared PATIENT. Police do it as well in their case I think swearing should be banned as it rapidly raises the tension. I. Don’t know I can continue watching as the demeaning tone is giving me a lot of flashbacks are paramedics not allowed to offer a Valium or something to help. Ok back to Mrs thinks she’s a pet trainer, Shivers.

My middle finger is raised, alongside yours, as I say f**k you Peggy. I look forward to watching more of your videos and listening to your input and explanations. I love watching the EMTs from New Orleans, they have loving hearts and gentle hands, just as I imagine yours are. Blessings, from your new number 1 fan in Australia ❤️🌹❤️

A lay person knows to not put a person on a stretcher face down. Wtf? Is it that hard to bring a stretcher inside?? I am glad they were charged. What a nightmare. I have been so sick that I couldn't stand and I can't imagine being thrown around, dragged, and yelled at like that.

My home is inaccessible for a stretcher due to the door, the steps and where my room is located.
When my grandma came to us in hospice the ambulance crew carried her in on an inflatable mattress to the bed due to the grojnd/steps/door issue
      (Mobile home)
      Saying that...
It looks like they didn't want to bother in the first place and chose not to make an attempt to get through the home with it, from the body cam it looked like there was plenty of space to get it through

Hi Christy, I love your intro, very professional! This video made me so angry, but also scared and sad. Your commentary was great, I loved that you kept saying "F you Peggy"! I was saying it with you. I hope these stories make more EMT'S wake up, that they need to treat people the way they would want a family member or themselves treated or get out of the job. I know there is a shortage, but this is just disgusting behavior. The only thing I will say about the cops is, they should have made them put him on his back and raise his head a bit. I know they're not medical people, but that's just common sense. Just my opinion. I hope Lee's back is better after he gets the injections. Bailey is still the cutest!❤

Most medics aren't like this, but unfortunately those stories aren't the ones plastered all over the internet. It's really hard to find any heartwarming content from EMS to share without getting a copyright violation.

I don’t know if I can watch all the way through but they should’ve had EMS there two sentences after the conversation. After four days IDK maybe LEO needs more training on medical stuff because even I know that severe alcoholism withdrawal can be easily fatal. This is infuriating.

  • @melissasullivan5899

Curious. When someone applies to enter EMS training academy in that area are they required to take a batter of mental health and/or personality tests to analyze the person’s character and fitness to do the job? Seems like many have severe problems with analysis empathy and basic problem solving in the field when under pressure or when tired.

    • @littletraumamama
      @littletraumamama  7 місяців тому +1

I'm pretty sure they do a background check before you enter the EMS program, and also every other year when renewing your license, but I think they're mostly looking for felonies.

I dont blame you for being peeved off on this matter. You never put a person face down on a gurney. With the charges, the court has to prove that the EMT'S purposely killed Earl,as it was a preventable death. Their lawyer's will try and get a deal for them, but the Judge always has the final say. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️..

Thank you for putting this video out there! Everything that these medics and police did to this man is horrifying!!!!!!!! It’s my opinion this is not their 1st rodeo how many people have they treated this way? It would be devastating to know I’m certain!!!!!! They need to be held accountable for their actions if not it might be mine or your family member getting abused next abuse is never okay absolutely never!!!!!!!! I do want to say thank you to all the wonderful health care professionals out there that do their job with the utmost care and respect for the patient thats what sick people need not a bunch of disrespectful nobody’s calling themselves human!!!!!!!! I pray for Justice in this mans case and for his family by God’s mighty hand I pray justice is served and that no other family has to endure the torture treatment from these people ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
