- Splash Mountain has re-opened March 8, 2022 and it was the roughest experience to go through as it seem like the water levels were low upon its reopening on this day and it was the roughest ride ever. It seemed like the boat kept bottoming out and then at the very end we got the biggest flash I’ve ever felt that ride and I even got soaked sitting on the very far backseat of splash Mountain at Disneyland.

One time when I sat in the back of the log, our log was so heavy that the splash from the final drop hit the roof, bounced downward and soaked me.
There’s no safe space on Disneyland’s Splash Mountain
For reals! Splash gets crazy sometimes 😂 back seat is not safe
I remember your video of this ride where right before the drop you say I hate getting wet.
Wowzers... they must have just added water to the ride. I've never seen it that "splashy" in person.
The lighting inside definitely is much better than before it’s closure. It was so dark
It's like constipation. When the logs get backed up like that, they're bound to make a big splash.
the CA version gets you ten time more wet then the FL version ever did
When They put me in front of the log...we usually as I call it "Submarine" at the bottom of the drop lol and we get SOAKED!!!
Me being 6'3 and a big guy...the worst ever was when they put me , my brother who is 6'6 and a big guy and stuck us on the log with this other huge dude and his daughter...that log did it best impersonation EVER of the Titanic and we almost sank it a few times lol...was one of the funnest rides ever on it though!

Not just weight, but also how it's distributed. Light in the front, heavy in the rear. The log is partially riding the surface, and kicking up plenty of spray, water, waves, etc. to the sides.
In otherwise: A perfect Disney storm. 😃

I’ve been on this ride dozens of times and loved it my entire childhood, until I went on it July 2021. Our whole log got SOAKED. I have never experienced anything so awful 😅 it was like we jumped in a pool. Every drop it got worse too
I had one unlucky trip on this ride at the part when I we went into the Laughing Place! The water splashed up the sides of the rounded walls, forming two waves of water that proceeded to make me look like I just went scuba diving! Serves me right for sitting in the front 😆
I always get so soaked in the laughing place area!!!
This made my day. We have a log flume ride at our local theme park and it is my family’s favorite. My daughters face in photos through the years is priceless.
I was just on there last Wednesday night and WTF that was a rough ride. Was sitting in the back and that last drop was gnarlier than I remember. The picture of my girlfriend and I are of pure terror in our eyes🤣
Pirates does that too in Disneyland where you can feel the bottom scrape and bump
I’ve never seen the logs back up where they did. They need the timing fixed at the previous gate.
I got super soaked during my first ride on Splash Mountain at Disneyland back in summer 2013!

im a big wuss about it too. I've been on it multiple times because everyone else loves it but I shake and have such bad anxiety the entire line and ride.

If you know, is splash mountain rumored to close in January 2023? Whenever it does close I hope that’s not until at least the first week of November because I’m supposedly going around October 19th and want to go on it a last time before it’s gone

One of the reasons I will not ride Splash Mountain... I don't want to get wet. It looks like not even the back was safe. It's not a good thing to run so many logs... they shouldn't be running into each other like that. People also shouldn't be riding with their feet propped up. A cast member should have called that rider behind you out for doing that. I've also never seen it bump back and forth like that on the turns... the water level may have something to do with that. If you look at the walls of the flume, you can see varying levels of where the water used to be. It's only been open for about 3 days or so. Looks like they still need to work out some kinks.
1. That's on you.
2. There's nothing wrong with running as many logs as they do. You really don't think their advanced system which COUNTS EVERY LOG AND TIMES IT BASED ON SPEED can't handle it? Oh, and by the way, it'll detain a log if something happens up the channel to avoid HIGH-SPEED COLLISION.
3. How do you know they weren't called out?
4. The water level appears to be fine. It's the log that is VASTLY overloaded as well as improperly distributed.

They are, but the pandemic hit Disney a lot harder than they probably like to admit so it was either pushed back or scrapped for the time being. Imo, I don't see the refresh happening for another couple years.
@@xCaLLMeGHeTTo I want to say they're not, as in the project is officially canceled. The lead Imagineer for that project doesn't even work for Disney anymore. Budgets are tight, priorities are probably elsewhere. I can see them downsiving the project as a possible Mr Toads replacement.

@@xCaLLMeGHeTTo doesn't matter who is right or wrong the retheme is on hold and will probably not happen for at least a few maybe 5 years from now if Disney really had their way they are hopeful that most of the social justice warriors had already forgotten about a retheme so the don't have to waste money for a retheme and save money for a new ride from scratch without touching splash mountain and leaving it as because this ride is awesome but it's not changing any time soon it's gonna be awhile
